I have the return part of a 2-part off-peak return.

Am I able to use this at 7am on a Monday morning?

Engineering work tomorrow means that part of my journey is not possible so I'm either going to have to use the underground to get to Waterloo (another ticket!) or to travel on Monday morning.

Is my return valid?

What are the stations on the ticket? It's probably valid but to be sure we need to know the stations.

Hampton Court to Waterloo walk to Waterloo East then on to Canterbury West

Would be leaving at about 7 from HMC.

SWT website says "Towards London Waterloo and any station in London Zones 1-6: Generally valid on trains arriving into London Waterloo at 1000, or later, Monday to Friday*." so I guess not.

The ticket is HMC > CBW validity 72. Type OFF-Peak R

The ticket has restriction code 4A, details of which can be read in the left hand column of this page

OUTWARD TRAVEL

By any train except those
timed to depart
Mondays - Fridays before 0930,
and those shown in the table
below from London Paddington
and Reading.

However, during engineering work, often tickets are permitted at routes and times they would not otherwise be. You would have to contact the train company that has engineering work to find out if this is the case.

Yep unfortunately you're sunk:

Restriction Code: 4A

OUTWARD TRAVEL

By any train except those
timed to depart
Mondays - Fridays before 0930,
and those shown in the table
below from London Paddington
and Reading.

RETURN TRAVEL

By any train except those
timed to depart
Mondays - Fridays before 0930
,
and those shown in the table
below from London Paddington
and Reading.

(My bold)

London operators are keen on peak restrictions even on return portions. It's not such an issue in the North and South West as most return portions are valid on any train.

Thanks. What is the earliest train from WAE I can get to CBW on an off-peak ticket if I was to say buy an Anytime ticket to get to WAE early in the morning? Guessing 10am?

@stuartbaggs.

I assume from the reference to the Underground that you have some way of getting to Richmond/Wimbledon on the Sunday? The alternative to the peak fare Hampton Court-Waterloo on the Monday would be to use Hampton on the Sunday (or anywhere on the Windsor lines into Waterloo) - you might even be able to do so at no cost if the staff are friendly.
