Just had a tweet off NYM official twitter feed to say due to an Engineering incident, no trains expected running Saturday 3rd from Pickering.
Posted the other tweets below hope it helps someone No idea what the incident is hope its not a bridge damage or landslip

I was just about to start a thread asking what had happened. Hope it's nothing majorly serious.

Informed this incident is resolved whatever it was and normal service from Pickering Sunday expected and also on website now

On Sunday 4th January we intend to run our normal Sunday Winter service between Pickering and Whitby.

Apologies for the disruption caused to passengers today (Saturday 3rd January) due to an engineering fault. Thank you for supporting us and being patient with the NYMR throughout this difficult time.

No idea of accuracy, but I've seen a post on another forum saying a tender being shunted derailed.
