So lettered routes - e.g. 1A, 1B etc are confusing, but coloured circles aren't? Hmm....

Well I noticed an coloured 'o' on the Rainbow 1 today. I have just realised that the 'o' stands for 'one' as in Rainbow one. Wouldn't the number '1' coloured have made more sense.......?

Even so putting a 'o' on the number bit makes it look like a route zero rather than a route one. Confusing.......

I don't think the 'o' stands for one, its just a colour, like red and green on the mickleover and spondon flyer isn't it?

Yeah but the point is the different colours aren't publicised anywhere I don't think.

The different coloured circles are supposed to identify which variation of the route is being operated.
Why now they have decided to identify the variations when it wasn't done previously and why not letters or numbers as with other services is a mystery.
It would seem that the Marketing & Communications Director (note no longer Operations Director) won't be leaving, just yet.....

Well the colour scheme ain't working. I got on a blue o yesterday morning which is Alfreton but I was actually on an yellow which is Eastwood.
Waiting in Eastwood for the orange from Heanor yesterday teatime the blue turned up first which is Alfreton, so may have been out of order but the morning bus was definitely wrong!

They are, on the buses, on the website and on the timetables.
Alex Hornby uis now Marketing and Communications Director as opposed to Commercial Director. The current general manager at Yorkshire Tiger is heading to Reading putting an end to any rumour Alex is heading there.

Yes but none of the regular passengers are aware what the colours are for. Yes the lines are drawn in different colours in the timetable guide but NOWHERE does it actually state 'buses to Alfreton will have a red or blue circle, buses to Heanor a etc.'.
Makes it all a bit pointless really!
And it still looks like I now use route '0' instead of route '1'!!

A marketing gimmick gone too far I think.
Can they not just do it as suffixes, or, more in line with some other TB operation, name them 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc? The Rainbow routes will fit in quite well with the Derbyshire routes which start from 6.1. If they prefer, do the second number only half the size of the first to emphasise that it is part of the same group of routes.
Suffix letters/numbers (instead of circles) together with individual colouring would make things much clearer and have the best of both worlds.

Newer, bigger and nicer buses are on their way to Zoom as part of the Rainbow 1 cascade. The Villager will also benefit and Solars will also appear on skylink Leicester Derby alongside the new Citaros to make a 20 minute service. One solar and the two Eclpises will help get rid of the last excels, along with the displaced Villager Solars.
Extra seats for Zoom is a promising sign, question is, have its users come from Indigo or Y5?

Well I hope they don't cascade them before they fix all the new broken ones!
I was told last week that 3 had gone back to the manufacturers. At least one old blue one in operation last week!

Further to this earlier comment I have noticed today that the Nottingham Minibus Company have stated on facebook that Kangaroo tickets are NOT valid on their buses.
The growing list of exclusions rather counters the councils "valid on all buses within the Kangaroo boundary" statement.

Skills run the Bilborough Collegelink bus from Victoria Centre ( milton street). Pupils and Staff need a Sixth Form bus pass or a Vaild Kangaroo ticket to use the service.

Announcement today from TB via email that all their zigzag products will be increasing in price from Sunday 7th Sept.
zigzag now £6 (was £5)
zigzag plus now £9 (was £8) - and a removal of the availability between Loughborough and Leicester. However, will become available to buy on Kinchbus 9 between Loughborough and Nottingham, and on Skylink between Loughborough and Derby.
zigzag group now £13 (was £12)
zigzag club 55 now £5 (was £4)
zigzag play now £5 (was £4.50)
The various zigzag choo choo and chatsworth tickets (adult/child/group) will all increase by £1.
MANGO day caps will stay at £5 for the foreseeable future.
