Of course as anyone who's travelled on a Pacer+Sprinter combination will tell you never mind anyone who's travelled on a 170+153 combination.

With the delay of the Farnworth tunnel, will these effect the 319s being used on Preston-Liverpool in October?
Preston-Liverpool services do not run via Farnworth.
It will effect traincrew diagrams as Blackpool drivers and guards don't sign 319's yet and not all Man Vic crew sign them meaning that the work will have to be re-allocated between Wigan, Lime St and the Vic men that sign the WCML and 319's (although Vic drivers don't sign through St Helens Ctrl)

319379 has left Stockport Carriage Sidings today running via Piccadilly, Chat Moss and the WCML to Wolverton.
As a matter of interest, how long would it take for a driver to be ready to sign for a 319, and also a guard?
does anybody know which 319 arrived at allerton from wolverton yesterday [11/9/15]?
Thanks for that.319376

Guards course and pass out is done in 1 day. Driver is significantly longer. Think I've been told it's about 6 days incl pass out but that needs checking.
Apologies if it has already been mentioned, but Rail today says one of the extra 319s will be operating Manchester Piccadilly-Airport from December.
Presumably this is the shuttle rather than the one which runs through to Crewe.
This should release a 323 for other work, hopefully eliminating the remaining DMU workings under the wires south of Manchester.

How close to what was previously serviced and maintained at the depot(s) are the 319 from a fitter's point of view?
