Although Northern Liverpool drivers (or more likely driver instructors) may need to route learn Crewe in order to facilitate practical handling on 319s due to delays with the OHLE on the western half of the Chat Moss route.
Northern crews already work via Runcorn (on ECS/parly from Chester).
I'm not sure you can describe the Chat Moss electrification as "late" yet.
The wires from Crewe have only been up for 50 years...
