There were six 195/331 in Edge Hill today. 331011 was one of them.
331007 came off Allerton Depot at about 1145 and went south towards Crewe.

011 014 and 104 were definitely on there. There were a few in the shed too but could have been 195s. No sign of 103 though outside. Hasn’t it gone?

Edit. 013 is actually here as well.

Was anything agreed in the union meeting then today? If so, project manager is getting something signed off on Wednesday to get the ball rolling on the 27th
Waiting to hear from result of the meeting. Doubt it will start on 27th all DI's booked on other courses. Could be wrong though

At LDS today the 1021 to DON was 322482 and the 1121 was 322483. 322482 was swapped back at LDS for 331108 to do the 1221. I assume that the chopping and changing is due to a lack of trained staff?

110 and one other stabled at Skipton today. At least one of the Doncaster stoppers was a 322 although there was a331 on the 1520 to Donny but I was too far away to ID it.

It’s not to do with staff training it’s to do with the 331s needing maintenance work done on them and once it’s available will be put back into diagram

Where is the maintenance being carried out?
Neville Hill mostly and just gets swapped in Leeds. I believe Sheffield fitters have a limited knowledge of them at the moment for small jobs at Doncaster but obviously their knowledge will grow as they’ll be learning the 195s and differences to be able to maintain a 331

For interest this months Rail Express correspondent "Neville Hill" has had a ride and added 4 car 331 110 to the list of 0 to 60 times at 41 seconds.
This makes it the 4th fastest emu following 345 at 36sec, 395 at 38sec and 380 at 39sec.
Quite near the official figure of 37sec for a 4 car and 30sec for a 3 car.
Interesting to see how the 3 car fares.

The first Class 331, 3312 110 to journey up the Wharfedale line (as far as I am aware), arrived at Ilkley just after noon today, according to RTT there were three round trips Skipton-Ilkley-BDQ-Skipton.

The first Class 331 trip round Leeds North West under its own power was on the night of 19th - 20th July for testing / route proving purposes (5Z99) - unfortunately I don't know which unit was used. Good to hear they're out and about up there again.

Yes, you're right about the night time trip, forgot that!! And the 2nd of today's trips was cancelled, and as I type this it looks like the 3rd also, the Test Match effect??

Have any class 331’s started operating from Liverpool Lime Street yet?
Only for testing. Blackpool service is supposed to be starting soon though with 331s as posted earlier on here.

September 9th is the planned date for 3 diagrams on the Liverpool to Blackpool run (if enough drivers have completed the conversion training!)

012 and 014 at Edge Hill now, 103 is still sat here as well, but has had the damage done by graffiti now removed from it.

010 on the Arrival Road, and 104 must have come back from Allerton as it was on Edge Hill this morning.
