Supposedly warm stored 142 066 has appeared on Knottingley to Leeds services today. I can confirm that it worked:
15:28 Leeds - Knottingley via Wakefield,
16:14 Knottingley - Leeds via Woodlesford,
16:58 Leeds - Knottingley via Woodlesford (full and standing !)
17:39 Knottingley - Leeds via Wakefield.

Seen at Cas Vegas today 142 053 on the 10 32 Knottingley to Leeds then at 15 32 a double 142 set, no numbers too far back in the level crossing queue, on the same working to Leeds.

There's three originally that come of Heaton with one snapping off at Darlington and the other two sets continuing to Middlesbrough. On a Saturday there are only two leave the depot but both continue to Middlesbrough.

Yes and no. You are quite right about the usual movement but we arrived on platform 2 to discover a 158 (I think) about to leave for Whitby, 12 was going to Saltburn, I could not discern the fate of 38. So, unusually, at one point a total of 6 carriages in three pairs all standing at the same platform.
