Cross-Rail will probably go ahead now, why do you think Liebore were so keen to get all the contracts let as quickly as possible?
I feel it is so now they are in opposition (and long may they remain there) Liebore will moan about all the cutbacks elsewhere while the Tories try to repair the damage done to this Countries economy and International reputation.
IF Cross-Rail is cancelled Liebore will moan about the costs to the poor old tax-payer of paying out the compensation clauses built into the contracts by Liebore so their mates would make a fortune for doing nothing.
Liebore did NOT have the best interests of the Country at their hearts and were only interested in lining their own pockets (and their mates pockets), also paying lazy twits to sit at home claiming benefits knowing these people would vote Liebore.
If OUR gold had not been sold off we would be long out of this recession by now (may not have even gone into one) in the first place.
Oldies like me can remember the last time Liebore were in and history has just repeated itself, Liebore screw the Country up and walk away (with thousands in their own bank accounts) and the incoming Tory government (with a bit of help this time around) have to fix it!
One quick fix for immigration would be to make our rules the same as France or Spain, that way there is no reason for lazy twits to come over here just to be given housing and benefits and genuine workers would be allowed in IF needed.
While this Country pays out millions of pounds to everybody elses deadwood we will not recover, hell we have enough of our own, and it needs to be stopped once and for all. Genuine asylum seekers claim it as soon as they land (in the first neutral Country), once here illegally they should forfeit the right to claim asylum when caught and should be sent back (or locked in detention centres).
Now watch all the bleeding hearts come out the woodwork!
