Indeed so, but it was mentioned as recent postings suggested an aspiration for such a matter and if that particular thread had been meeting the wishes of certain website members, they would have kept that thread running.

I have added Ravensthorpe to #1. Definition of 'new' is open to debate depending upon ones personal definition / yellow pen requirements. Closure of the current station has been approved (to happen with the December 2025 timetable change) and the new / replacement station will be 200m west.
Mossley is expected to have a similar fate (moving 300m north east) but closure / works required are still going through the consultation / approval process.

Opening of the Camp Hill Line stations (Kings Heath, Moseley and Pineapple Road) have been put back to spring 2026.
Butetown and Winslow will undoubtedly also be 2026 but I have not read anything official.

Network Rail give the impression that the line with the two branch line stations of Pill and of Portishead will open in 2028, not 2027.
Has anyone seen anything to the contrary?

The recent newsletter regarding tree and vegetation clearance until 19 December mentions line opening in 2028.
However the speed at which old track and vegetation is being removed does make me wonder if 2028 is just quoting a long date and will be ready earlier

The Network Rail page says 2028.
The Portishead Railway Group website here has late 2027 / early 2028.

It’s probably down to the work at the Portishead end which has lot of remodeling of roads etc. 2027 seems the more optimistic given work is set to commence after new year

Thank you. It's not in Realtime Trains yet but I have updated #1. Butetown without the code has appeared though, which I think is new / recent.

As per my post on the specific station thread. Linkedin is a strange place to communicate such news. I'll believe it when I see boots back on the ground along with published completion and public opening dates.
Contractors often use it to advertise their work and effectively 'hustle' for new contracts. Official updates would indeed come from Network Rail who'd publish it in more official sources.

Excellent, having seen it a couple of years ago as simply an embankment on the other side of the tracks to the metro, no wonder it took a little longer than usual to build.

Brabazon (new station in North Filton) has three letter code BBZ.

So we can reasonably assume that the name will now be Brabazon and not North Filton.

Trivia: As far as I can tell, that brings the number of station names with "Z" in them from 13 to 14. I was mildly surprised there were so many.
