Encouragingly the minister James Cleverly, who was doing the broadcast rounds this morning, was saying that plans to ease the lockdown will take into account the needs of the economy, people's mental health and the education of our children, which contradict's Jeremy Hunt's ludicrous assertion that we need to wait until new cases are below a completely arbitrary 1,000 per day before we can ease restrictions.
At long last, there seems to be a recognition in government circles that they need to think about other things rather than just the figures relating to COVID-19.
The killer quote there is "those decisions will be guided by the science". Which Science? If it is the SAGE version of science we will have restrictions and lockdown of some form all year!
