Due to problem not of the making by 71000 Duke of Gloucester, a train had ran into some cows on the line on the route the Duke was going to take'71000 left Crewe depot on time but was kept in Gresty Green sidings for nearly 2 hours, when the line was officially reopened the Duke pulled into platform 12 needing to top up on water after waiting so long in the sidings.

The LB&SCR L Class was a class of 4-6-4 steam tank locomotives designed by L. B. Billinton for the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. They were known as the "Brighton Baltics", Baltic being the European name for the 4-6-4 wheel arrangement. Seven examples were built between April 1914 and April 1922 and they were used for express passenger services.
As the locomotives were still relatively new and performing well, Maunsell decided to rebuild them for use on express trains on the Western section of Southern Railway. Between December 1934 and April 1936 all seven members of the class were rebuilt as 4-6-0 tender locomotives, and given the new designation ‘’N15X’’. Five of the class were renamed after famous locomotive engineers but 2329 and 2333 retained their original names

This 1st collection features the original as built L.B. Billinton locos

I went over to Skipton today to see 44932 with 5Z32 13:15 Carnforth Steamtown to KWVR.

44932 running slowly into Skipton station where it had a booked stop about 10 mins late

After a 3 minute wait 44932 left now about 7 minutes late

Earlier the 802 unit i was travelling on stopped right alongside Leeds Midland Rd depot, the class 59 that was in the line of class 70's has been moved to the far end of the shed virtually out of sight
70019
70018 and others

My 2nd visit to the NYMR this week on Wednesday 29th October, including a trip behind Flying Scotsman,
its a shame the NYMR could not have added a further public service mid afternoon as i was only able to do Grosmont Pickering, if i had gone back to Grosmont i would have had to wait over 2 hours for a service back to Pickering, anyway rant over, it was still a enjoyable day out
Earlier i travelled on the 09:10 service from Pickering to Grosmont behind 44806
passing 80078 waiting to return to the MNR at Newbridge
we had to wait a few minutes at Levisham to allow Flying Scotsman into the station
At Grosmont 44806 came off and was replaced by 31128 for the trip down to Whitby

At Grosmont i decided to do the opposite of the 100's of people there waiting in the viewing area by the signal box and i went down to the bottom of the platform

About 45 minutes later 60103 Flying Scotsman arrived, and detached from the train and ran up to the shed for watering

92134 was again on banking duties for the Flying Scotsman service up to Goathland

Lots of photos taken between Grosmont and Pickering

60103 Flying Scotsman approaching Levisham
passing
76079 'Pocket Rocket up for sale' Pickering Carriage shed
And finally back at Pickering

Locomotion again running trips out to Newbridge and back at Pickering
