I went down to Birmingham yesterday to get some photos of 60103 Flying Scotsman hauling the first of 3 days trips between Birmingham Moor St to Dorridge and return
Tyseley was my chosen location for the day.

At Moor St station Flying Scotsman was hauled on the rear of the train by D1955 to Dorridge.

At least at Tyseley station there was the chance to photograph 60103 at speed
1Z11 1110 Dorridge to Birmingham Moor Street

Quick trip back to Moor St for photos without a diesel in the way
Even a Piper was there for entertainment

Back out to Tyseley again for (class 47 leading)
1Z12 1230 Birmingham Moor Street to Dorridge

I went onto the road bridge at Tyseley for this next set of of 60103 Flying Scotsman approaching Tyseley with
1Z13 1310 Dorridge to Birmingham Moor Street

I then went back to Moor St to get a photo of Flying Scotsman alongside Chiltern Liveried 68031

I then headed to New St for one of the worst train journeys i have ever been on, the 1S49 1127 Plymouth to Glasgow Central 15:05 from BNS Cross Country service was made up of a 4 coach voyager, totally rammed, a lady next to me was going the full distance and told me the toilet by us was out of use and she hadn't been able to use one for over 4 hours as it was impossible to move due to the overloaded train.

I had a trip over to the Small Engines Gala on the ELR yesterday Saturday 21st February,
i stayed till about 1:30pm, by this time the timetable had gone out of the window, and i later heard it was 90 minutes late at one time,
It all seemed to start with the 2 Well tanks with the Pug being 40 minutes late off shed, sorry i dont know the reason why , then confusion about which service would depart next, the very late Well Tanks/Pug service or the just not as late Jinty service!!!
The Well Tanks and the Pug won out and departed about 45 minutes late, seen here after arriving at Ramsbottom

For the very first time MSC 4002 ‘Arundel Castle’ is heading to Rawtenstall! – Top and tailed with fellow MSC 32 ‘Gothenburg’

7138 (LMS Jinty) & 11456 (LYR 0-6-0ST) waiting to depart from Bury to Heywood

A few photos of The King & Pug T'n'T Willy running over 50 minutes late now at Ramsbottom

09024 & 13954 (08479 Running in fictional BR Black livery and numbered 13594) at Ramsbottom

I have added a collection of 16 photos featuring William Dean's GWR 1854 Class 0-6-0ST (Rebuilt as 0-6-0PT)
The GWR 1854 Class was a class of 0-6-0T steam locomotives designed by William Dean and constructed at the Swindon Works of the Great Western Railway. The class used similar inside frames and chassis dimensions to the 1813 Class of 1882-4. In this they differed from the intervening 1661 Class, which had reverted to the double frames of the Armstrong era. Thus the 1854 Class belongs to the "mainstream" of GWR 0-6-0PT classes that leads towards the larger GWR pannier tanks of the 20th century.
Originally built as a saddle tank
They were all rebuilt a Pannier tanks
some had open cabs
and others a full cab

I travelled on the 'The Cumbrian Mountaineer' behind 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley yesterday Wednesday 11th March.
The tour originated at London Euston to Crewe as 'The Deltic Express' behind D9000 Royal Scots Grey.
The Deltic was removed at Crewe and replaced by 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley which was now named 'The Cumbrian Mountaineer' to Carlisle and back, with D9000 Royal Scots Grey taking over in the evening back to London.
60007 Sir Nigel Gresley runs into Crewe with support coach to take over from D9000, which arrived 17 minutes late due to a points failure at Northampton, but due to a very quick change over the tour left on time for Carlisle

60007 Sir Nigel Gresley at Carlisle after going over Shap summit at 52mph earlier

At Carlisle D6851 Flopsie was attached to take the stock to Upperby for servicing and turning 60007 SNG on the rear
later it brought the stock back into Carlisle for the return to Crewe

60007 Sir Nigel Gresley waiting for departure time at 17.14pm back to Crewe from Carlisle

Back at Crewe 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley was removed to be replaced by D9000 Royal Scots Grey for the remainder of the tour back to Euston
Here are a collection of photos taken on my mobile phone of 60007 & D9000 at Crewe

Phone cam video of D9000 Royal Scots Grey departing for Euston
