Well given that one of the main points of the exercise in introducing the sets to TPE is to permit driver training on class 68s, the locos should be blue, just not the right shade, and I'm not sure how rail blue would sit on a loco of such modern design.Nah... To you TPE guys looking forward to it I hope they do a blooming good refurb because last time I worked it it was in a right state. In fact the Riviera Mk2s are in better condition.
Maybe the mechanical side of things at Laira (or Devonport?) Then internals at a wabtec/knoor bremse site maybe? (Pure guess disclaimer)
The last thing I heard was that the inside was to have a "heavy clean" only, with the majority of the work at Laira being purely mechanical. Livery suggested was a plain grey. Hopefully they have found some budget for at least some interior sprucing up before it heads to TPE.
Surely the 3 FOs will be converted to TSOs?
