One of the "benefits" of having a catering crew member, male or female, was the driver advertising the service over the PA. I recall one painful trip from Blackburn to London where "Fluff" ("I call her that because she gets right up my nose") was announced periodically as about to circulate. It stopped being even faintly amusing from the second time on, but the gent concerned persisted to the end.
That is awful. Would of been given a disciplinary action now and so they should!

Lots of behaviours happened back in the previous century which would, rightly as you say, not be tolerated now. Society has evolved, so judging events by modern standards will often lead to shock!
Completely agree. I stumbled upon an episode of Big Break recently and I was shocked at Jim Davidson, nevermind Virgos waistcoats!
