I'm posting this separately from the main National Express thread because it doesn't apply to current operations and the Rapide brand wasn't exclusively applied to National Express coaches either.
When was Rapide first used and was there any publicity at the time advertising the additional benefits? Also, were there any sort of guidelines about the kind of service that passengers should expect when boarding a service that was branded as such?
Finally, when did the Rapide brand fall out of use (and why)?
