I understand from Mrs Trellis that she doesn't approve playing ball games on Sunday, so I am afraid we will have to call a halt here. We need a breather, so I suggest we pause briefly to take in the fresh air and admire the views at Colindale.

For those looking for a more challenging escape (and free porridge), Wormwood Scrubs is our next destination.

Blimey, have they built a station there for the residents to go out on jollies? Let's take them for a stroll around Southfields.
From here I asked a passing womble for directions and ended up at Wimbledon Chase.

Hard as it may be to believe, I sense that we are suffering perturbation from the remnants of the aftershock from the Beginning, when only The Game existed and all else was void. To regain stability we must move quickly to the centre of things at Pinner.

Rather at a loss to follow such a profound move, for inspiration I dug out my old copy of the All London Bus Guide (August 1994 edition) - as sponsored by Royal Mail International, then thought of a number between 1 and 10, and found that the No.5 allows me to sashay my way across the metropolis to Canning Town ....
If I have fallen foul of the rule book by using Alternative Transport (well, it is all the rage at the moment), can someone please advise how much time I need to spend in Nidd?

In memory of a well-known 1970s Docklands music venue who hosted (among others) Lindisfarne, I will play my ‘Fog On The Tyne’ card, taking us to St James’s Park.

Just a reminder that my favourite episode of Steptoe & Son is on telly Thursday evening,Come Dancing. (That’s TV,1850). To help me remember I’ll play Shepherds Bush.

That lets us play Aussie rules for one move only as it's a Tuesday. So, Boggo Road in Brisbane. Before anyone says anything, yes it's not open yet, but we are playing by purdah rules - except between 08:45 and 08:47 on Sundays as per the rule dictates.

Enough of this Australian nonsense. I'm off to consult all the rule books over a pint or three in the Wenlock Arms. Therefore a move to Old Street is required.

The Wenlock Arms refers to Much Wenlock in Shropshire. Another well known ‘Much’ was the miller’s son in the Robin Hood tales. Robin was an Earl (of Locksley), and the Earls were a class of GWR locomotive also known as ‘Dukedogs’. The Isle of Dogs is where London’s second financial centre is located, and so in defiance of all that convoluted logic I’m playing Kensal Green.

Some of these moves are highly questionable - Mrs T (no, our Mrs T, not that one) is pretty shocked. She wants everyone to know that she is hiding with The Luggage at North End until the danger of a catastrophic breakthrough into the dungeon dimensions is past.

Am I the only one who is taking this game seriously? Where are the mods when you need them? Sitting in their mod car guzzling bacon sarnies, probably. To get us back on the right track and breathe fresh air at the same time - Goodge Street

DerekC - if you want the mods out of their mod car, you'll have to fetch them first. And deal with the bacon sandwiches. (What kind of furrin nonsense is a "sarnie"?)

As I am willing to a) irritate the mods by fetching them from their charcoal (I might have overdone the bacon) Elysium, and b) deal with the remaining bacon sandwiches, I shall head to the spiritual home of moderation to track them down. Old Street it is again, I'm afraid (although this is allowed under section 3 of the 1954 Dulwich Regulations, applicable to those who are simultaneously watching tennis and discussing heathland before the 4pm curfew).
