Don't some Bridlington terminators run ex-Sheffield too?

The first up on the yorkshire coast line is Scarborough-Doncaster (stops everywhere I think), so that doesn't count for more than one change to Birmingham.

The entire Southern network apart from the West Coastway stations and Gatwick via Reading.

I can't think of a way to get to anywhere on the Southeastern network either.

Surely the 5 minute walk along Phoenix Way only counts as one change? Is probably quicker that from walking from p17 to p2 at Clapham Jun!

Again, how would that get you to Yeovil Junction? I suppose you could walk from Pen Mill... but neither of the normal (not ALR or BritRail) ticket options permit such a journey.

I was replying to 150222 who suggested Castle Cary as a two-change destination, sorry.

Aye, if we're allowed Phoenix Road then much more of the SE opens up.

From stations as far north as Bridlington generally theres 1tph to Hull and 1tph to Sheffield (some terminate at Doncaster), same is true in the other direction. Bempton to Filey generally get 1tp2h which is usually a Sheffield or a Doncaster service.

So no, no station on the Yorkshire Coast Line is more than 1 change from Birmingham.

Edit: is Arram only served by Hull terminators?

There's loads! Baildon,

Not as many as you think!

Hull to Bridlington line

Change at Sheffield or Doncaster, as quite a few Sheffield - Hull (and vice versa) service run to/from Bridlington.

Mytholmroyd, Caldervale line Todmorden to Smithy Bridge (Change at Preston before Hebden Bridge and Wigan after Rochdale)

Change at Leeds (long way round though and more than 1 ticket may be required ;)

Whitby line, The wherry lines, Sutton, Blanaue festiniog, Clitheroe line, Peckham Rye

I'll let you have those.

Newark to Grimsby

Change at Nottingham for stations to Newark and Lincoln. For Grimsby, change at either Sheffield or Doncaster.

Barton on Humber branch

Apart from Habrough that is.

Again, change at Nottingham.

Greenford line

Another that's correct

Denton, Reddish South, Warrington to Manchester Oxford Rd, Ashton-under lyne

Change at Stockport for Denton and Reddish South, Stockport or Manchester for the rest (depends if you count walking from Man Picc to Man Vic as a connection or not).

Stations between Blackburn and Clitheroe, not including DalesRail.

There's 1tpd Monday-Friday ex-Piccadilly, no?

EDIT - Yes, 2N53, 0559 off Buxton, 0654 off Piccadilly, Clitheroe at 0812 ;) (It serves Ramsgreave & Wilpshire et al too)

Yes but it leaves Piccadilly before the first service from Birmingham arrives (ARR MAN 0737), so while there is only one change, it would require staying overnight in Manchester

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but here are two I can think of:-

Birmingham- Great Yarmouth; Change at Ely or Peterborough and Norwich
Birmingham-Felixstowe; Change at Ely or Peterborough and Ipswich
