Usually 12hrs, usually rolling 3 days per week with Sundays extra.
An extremely sort after job, I’m very surprised they’ve advertised externally they’ll definitely be competition from within from PWay crew who are being offer VR come Jan.

Although it’s a fantastically varied role, the old no two days are the same tale. There are a lot of major negative aspects you should be aware of if you wish to apply.
As a MOM are you Controls eyes on the ground, as such there is massive pressure to give them more or less constant updates, pressure you’ll have to push down the chain onto PWay, S&T, undertakers etc.
You’ll definitely see bodies, well bits of st very close quarters, you’ll also probably assist in picking the bits up.
Lovely weather in the summer, pleasure to be out and about in the sun. Freezing, raining, winter evening clipping points in the middle of nowhere after 11hrs on duty with no sign of relief not so much fun.

Sundays are outside the working week, but must be worked if it's a base rostered Sunday and cover can't be found for it.

The role is up for multiple locations, think I saw Oxford too. Was also surprised. Off to throw my hat in the ring.
Presume it differs per route - depends what Western route has as the norm.

Defiantly yes, depends on route and even location within route.
Western MOMs Swindon, Bristol, Oxford, Thames Valley do 12s.

Regarding the MOM roles currently being advertised, does anyone know what the second assessment entails?
The second assessment is a questionnaire with 3 questions, to help understand you as a person, and your understanding of the MOM role.
As a MOM you're not expected to physically assist in recovery of body parts. You can help if you want and I know some do choose to but there's no requirement, that's the responsibility of the BTP.
But yes you can get involved in some unpleasant and disturbing stuff. That said, good days outweigh the bad in my experience.
