When is the MML electrification due to start and when will the cables arrive at Leicester

The CP5 plan says completion in December 2019 for Kettering to Nottingham/Derby (Bedford to Corby/Kettering is December 2017).
But you have to treat these dates with caution because there is a lot of other work going on on the MML over this period, notably the remodelling around Leicester (Syston-Wigston).
All of the above is in "development" and no contracts (for the OHLE) have been let yet.

There's quite a lot of bridge work going on north of Bedford.

I'm new to this thread. Does anyone please have a link where I can find the spec for the MML electrification works (e.g. bridge alterations, timescales etc) as the project develops and progresses?

Is there an official Network Rail update site as well as this thread?

You can find the milestones on page 50 of the CP5 Enhancements Delivery Plan (quarterly update just published: http://www.networkrail.co.uk/publications/delivery-plans/control-period-5/cp5-delivery-plan/ ).
This also includes all the other CP5 projects.
However, you won't find much technical detail.
That exists for the GW electrification scheme, but I haven't seen the equivalent for MML yet.

Interesting to see if this continues, but they seem to have updated the enhancements plan at the original weblink, rather than having a page of successive updates. During CP4 it was always possible (if anyone wanted to clarify something) to compare previous quarterly versions...

Thanks for the info was just wondering because the great central who are putting there bridge in over the MML have the put it in by end of 2015 thats why I thought the cables was going in in 2016
