Hi everyone, I want to ask for advice on a TfL misuse staff pass case. I have read on the other thread that is quite similar with my case. Here’s the details of my case
Context:
What I want to know is:
Context:
- I’m 30, not in education or employment
- First time offender
- I’m on dependant visa, waiting to do ILR next year and British citizenship the following year
- On 22 July 2026 I was caught using a staff pass on Leicester Square, that I found on the tube station which wasn’t mine
- When approached by the inspector I cooperated fully, confirmed my details, name, address, DOB. I handed it over, and gave my full details
- I had used the card almost for a month. My husband found it on 2 July 2026 but I’m the one who keep using it. I don’t know the owner of the card.
- I haven’t received any letters about this case.
What I want to know is:
- How long will I receive the letter since the day I got caught?
- What is the realistic range of outcomes here? Will I receive a warning letter / prosecution under TfL Bylaws / SJPN?
- Will it be written as a criminal record and affecting my ILR & citizenship process?
- If I got prosecuted and found guilty (which I am) should I go to the court or is it unnecessary?
