He obviously, well apparently has his own source of traction, leave him to it and lets see if he DOES fill his words with building action. For now Stephen I say concentrate on your 73 *flails*

He's right, if your going to do something, do it properly. Thankfully unlike Stephen I've got time to plan out my A level project and am open on what to do as it stands but i think it will almost definatly be 5" gauge.

Hold the fone right there hot shot we are not building all of it and I never said any rude things , anyway its not all gunna be built by us It will go through 2 stages for the 4 coaches 2 coaches in 1 go and will have maybe 2 coaches by summer the following stages are: (ONLY IF WE GET THE A OKAY)
Us are part in it:
We will be having the bogies put to the workshop in my garden (converted shed) then we will Bring the wood from my school wood shop to the work place at my garden and begin on the first coaches these will be TSO and the other TSO this will take a month and abit to do when finished , The coach will be chassis and bogies with a body on top screwed nail and solderd metal bits in. Stage 2 :
We shall then send them to the FLMR work place in frimley for there MOD and test (3 months to 5 months) then by Augast , September ,october the first two carriges will enter service ,before this is where stage 3 comes in:

Stage 3 is where we apply the unique livery of SWT which will take 20 days on the two coaches then proving tests with Class 35 and then first service

The DTSOs

We will be starting these In november and will be completed Feb 2008 , with the same requierments as the TSOs but these will be longer applying details to the bodys such as doors and the front door and the name and nameplate 'Honour of the pig' these two will then follow the stages as the TSOs and will enter service July 2008 by then the 2 TSOs would have been in service for neally year once all four are in service FLMR will have a complete new coaching set

THIS IS AGAIN ONLY IF WE GET PERMISSION FROM MR P Gardner

Sorry If i did post anything bad

I reckon I know which railway it is. 777 mentioned an ED, and then a 35. Well the Bentley miniature railway has both, with 2 5" and 7 1/4" 35s.

I second the advice of building to a deadline. Trust me its tricky. My 7 1/4" loco took me 2 years to build, then I tried to finish it within a month for an event at the acton railway. It was impossible, absolutely a lost cause, fortunately I was sensible enough to realise that the loco stood a chance of failing in traffic and backed down from the event so I could finish it properly.

and finish her properly I did....see her this weekend at the Acton Miniature Railway. Please excuse the smell of burning from under the hood ;)

may I just say that I think 442s are great (mainly because they're front ends look like old SR units!) but what is the point in making dummy cars? Basically it sounds like your just simulating a Pig drag in miniature. It would be more exciting if it was powered. Come on, break out the Sinclair C5 motors!!!

but whatever, my China Rail QJ with the 6-axle tender requires some thought.....

It's funny; on most railway forums some 11 year old kid gets ideas he's either going to buy a train or build one... :)

Not it wont, each coah must be 9 foot long to be scale there are 5 coaches in a pig and 9 time 5 is 45, im in top set maths, and if u translate 23 metres into feet its 75 ish, devide that by 8 which is the scale for 7 1/4" u get 9 foor per carriage! i think i should know i did the drawins for the bubble car!

Bottom set english per chance ?

The idea is to offer and then post the pictures in the same post... not different ones.

Are you perhaps trying to rack up your postcount? ;)
