1459 miles for May taking me to 8596 for the year to date and just sneeking into 10th place.
Got a mega-bash planned for 2 weeks time so expecting a bumper month in June

Trip report is due for that by the sounds of it ;) Have a fantastic time, wherever you're going!

Yeah, been so busy now I'm back in work that I haven't had time for a proper bash anywhere, so a weeks ALR is lined up and hopefully I'll find time on the trains to do updates

Glad to hear you've managed to get back into work, time goes so slowly when you're unemployed doesn't it!

An ALR will certainly blow away the cobwebs sharpish, you'll love it :) If not a full trip report maybe Twitter updates using a hashtag to make it easy to keep up?

Also plan for a 319 bash on the st Albans abbey line including Brighton to wfj and return

Do railtours count on this? I also plan for three bridges to bath on Dec 3rd that'll jack my score up masiely

Railtours count, definitely.

I'm planning to do my totals during the weekend, another Tech's Bookwork Weekend is coming!

Finally managed to update up to the end of May now which puts me on 12556, should be over 15,000 at the end of June and then there's hopefully my ALR in July.

I've now finished my update from the last two Mondays of bashing. Took a while, it must be said, but during the changing of tunes I've got a couple of new hashtags come to mind. I should have enough to tide me over until the autumn now, although one has to wait until December. That's coming up far too fast...

Anyway, I'm now on 6,756 miles for the year so far. Nearly overtaken my 2013 total, hardly surprising considering 2013 didn't exactly end with much bashing! I'm only 756 miles ahead of my target for end of June 2016 though, and with a quiet month I'll be lucky to get to even 7,000 before the end of the month. That being said, tomorrow may yet feature a few moves if the calculator agrees with my mental arithmetic, and I have some new coverage due in Devon this month, so it's all gravy.

Still in 15th place much to my surprise, although if I manage to finish in the top 20 I'll be very surprised and happy! Now, where's that calculator...

Not bad for a part-timer!

It's probably been asked already, and I have yet to do a search as I'm about to take my bacon for breakfast out of the oven, but does anyone have figures for Victoria to Exchange Square on Metrolink?

Don't know if you've found the answer yet but I have it down as 20ch

Thanks, I hadn't got the answer yet but I will happily update my RM with that figure. 20 chains feels about right following my trip on that section on Monday.

Cheers for the gen :)

Not often a visitor here :P 16169mi 13ch so far this year. 4786mi 32ch on 37s so far :D

Harbouring hopes of 30k by the end of it. Soon to start the 440mi per week commute from July 18 which should contribute about 9k.

Another RM update following Monday's failure to clear the Metrolink shacks, and I'm now on 7,023 miles in 2016 so far. 1,023 miles ahead of target and there's some more moves to be made this month, which should see me clear 7,200 miles without too much effort if not a little more. 6 months to and 4,977 miles to go until I hit the year's target, I will have to start doing some serious mileage moves!

Granted, the numbers would be different if I could find mileage data for New York's Subway moves!

Well I sure did do well in June! My RM update is done, leaving more the physical paperwork to do now. Something that can be mostly conquered on long journeys and festers...

I am now on 7,494 miles and 25 chains for 2016 so far. In June I managed 1,000 miles and 60 chains, not bad for a quiet month! This all puts me 1,494 miles ahead of my target for the year, which is quite good news.

How will Q3 2016 go? Well with all the news of this, that and everything else moving and being built/ordered for the South East, I have the intention of getting down to London at least twice more. Hopefully the minimum of two serious sessions down there, but I have plans to bump up my mileage figures fast, as I know Q4 is likely to be a quiet time of the year for bashing. With 4,506 miles left to hit the target this year (12,000 miles) it can be done within 6 months!

Just completed inputting my railmiles for June.
A bumper 4851 miles for the month, largely helped by 3901 miles on my ALR bash.

That brings me to 13740 for the year, two thirds of the way to my target for the year of 20000.

Well at (just over) the half way point this year, that's 15,445 miles and 53 chains from me. I've dropped down into 7th place, but I'm still optimistic of staying in the top 10 places if the trips I have planned over the rest of the year still go ahead. My All Line Rover which was planned for this month has been postponed until August, because my friend who's coming with me can't get any time off work until then unfortunately.

I've included a few stats of my rail journeys from the first half of the year.

Best month: April; 3,102 miles, 26 chains.
Worst month: June; 1,685 miles, 11 chains.
Most used TOC: Northern (Arriva); 145 journeys.
Least used TOC: CrossCountry, Grand Central and Hull Trains; 1 journey each.

Most used DMU Class: Class 156; 55 journeys.
Most used EMU Class: Class 319; 80 journeys.
Most used Loco Class: Class 91; 3 journeys.
Least used DMU Class: Classes 170 and 221; 1 journey each.
Least used EMU Class: Classes 318, 320, 373 and 374; 1 journey each.
Least used Loco Class: Class 43 - 1 journey.

Hopefully the second half of 2016 is as successful!

Shame you've had to postpone your ALR, but at least it's going to happen still.

More than double my mileage this year so far! I hope to have actually got my books out to finish my figures out shortly. They'll all be in my Rolling Review thread of course!

If this was a competition about car miles, I'd win easy
Chri$t knows how much money I'm coughing up to more than to top up my miles...
Did about 60miles to three bridges and back today

Yeah it is, but I guess the good thing is I've got a bit more time to save up for it and between us work out exactly what we'll be doing, so we can book some accommodation in advance. The provisional plan at the moment is to clear Wales for coverage first (my friend has completely covered the NWCL and more of the SWML than I have) and then get some coverage in the South West and South East, although we haven't fully decided on a plan yet.

I'm not sure I'll do as many miles in the latter half of the year, but anything over 7,500 I'll be happy with.

I'll be sure to check your thread! :)

My target for the year was 20,000 miles but I'm almost certain to surpass that with roughly 10,000 commuting miles on top of bashing so I might spuriously try and aim for something like 35,000 now

Currently on 17730mi 75ch which appears to put me 6th!

6704mi 73ch on 37s alone!

And now for a completely non blatant copy of Mr 507021..... ;)

Best month: April - 4420mi 61ch
Worst month: May - 1143mi 41ch

Following last weekend's "Tech's Uprocking Bash" I got 310 miles out of it. Not bad for the ching, especially considering the scores I got out of it.

Now down to 20th place on 7,804 miles for the year so far. Only 804 miles ahead of target now, and I have a lot I need to do with the money I have at the moment, but I also want to do something tomorrow on the rails. I cannot tolerate such a quiet month where potentially I won't even hit 500 miles! Very much last minute planning right now, but not much in my local area left to get. Stay tuned to my Twitter in the morning...

Figured I'd give this a go...

So mileage this year is 20861 miles so far... Most of this is due to a 300 mile commute.

Split by months:

January: 312 miles
February: 1777 miles
March: 2454 miles
April: 3782 miles
May: 1411 miles
June: 5451 miles
July: 5671 miles (so far)

And 12267 miles have been on HSTs... Just one or two!

Just got up to date on my mileage for the year. It's now on 12,536.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
I've decided to add this. It's my mileage per month, showing how much mileage I've had each month (including July as I'll not be heading out again this month).

January - 1354.75
February - 1496.75
March - 1423.50
April - 1229.25
May - 1928.50
June - 3780.25
July - 1323.00

Wow, that's quite the impressive figure FQ! I'm on about 8,000 this year which is not overly bad for me, only 4,000 until the target is reached!
