Sadly RailMiles' mileage engine on my subscription at least doesn't have any of the data you want. I think it might have been mentioned on Gensheet ages ago, I'll try and find out via there.

I've FINALLY got myself back up to date on RailMiles. I finish January on a very healthy 1,797 miles, much better than I expected to be on a month ago. I'm currently 4th on the table, that I sure don't expect to last long. I'm even ahead of Fishquinn for now, that I am pleased about!

Sorry Techniquest your 5th. Just updated my mileage and like yourself I can not believe how much mileage I have done in the first month of the year with 2264 miles. I had to double check it. Can't see me keeping up that rate for the whole year.

I'm really shocked by how much I have done too.

Although having said that quite a bit of my total is from a trip on the Highland Chieftain because I was sent a VTEC Rewards ticket and did the associated round trip via Aberdeen. I guess I'm still trailing Minilad though!

Bah! Knew it wouldn't last long. You certainly did well indeed, I'm very jealous!

I've surprised myself with how much mileage I've managed to do this month, with just over 2,226, over double my 1,000 per month target. I've got another couple of trips planned for February, but I don't think I'll get anywhere near that many miles next month. I'd be very surprised if I did!

For now I'm in 3rd place, but I don't think I'll stay there for very long.

2310 miles and 9ch for the month, assisted by this morning's Leeds - New Street HST running on a Derby-Leicester-Birmingham diversion. Ooh, eck, I'm second.

That's at least me, Kite159 and IanM that have been to Scotland this month, which just proves January doesn't have to be a quiet month!

I've been there myself this month (Glasgow) to visit my girlfriend. There'll probably be a few more trips up to Scotland for me this year, although I don't think there'll be too many trains involved once I get there!

I managed to get some new track coverage on the way there and back on my most recent visit, so that was a bonus.

It can't last!

Kite - I advise you contact Midland metro to ask for the mileage between the two. I was going to but just haven't had the time as I need the mileage too.

Friend me on railmiles and you can keep a check on me!!

I noticed that! Is that all non-work?!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
I currently stand on a relatively paltry 342 miles from January - only a return to Doncaster and a return to Peterborough on the diversions though, so not entirely unexpected

Afraid not. It's everything on RM. My non work mileage for the year currently stands at 5445.35

Anybody know the distance between St Pancras & Paris? :)

And a long shot, is there any miles data for the Paris metro system?

My most recent journey pushed me past 1000; On Friday 458503+458515 were taken for the 13.5 miles from Waterloo to Hounslow (via Brentford) and I'm now sat on 1004 miles for the year. I do have to thank a return trip from London to Leeds about two weeks ago which provided a large amount of distance :D

I have asked on Gensheet for the Midland Metro extension mileage data, I hope to be able to feedback the gen soon. RailMiles does, however, now have Coventry Arena and Bermuda Park in it! :D

Until I finish sorting out my tram moves, which will not happen until I get the extension data, I'm currently sitting on 2,255 miles for 2016 so far. Which places me in 10th (not including the current 999,999 ComUtoR has put in the table ) so far, which I'm quite proud of considering how little I've done this year!

I thought that was a little bit optimistic myself, although I suppose it's only a bit of fun in the end!

I've got my mileage up to date for now, but I'm planning a trip over to Yorkshire next weekend to get the last part of the Northern network in the area I need for coverage, so I'm going to wait until after that Yorkshire trip (my second of the month) before updating my current mileage total in the table. I'm surprised I've done so well for mileage this month, but I suppose that's down to last minute unplanned days out when I've had nothing to do on my days off!

Wish I had that luxury! Mind you, I am forming some sort of plan for tomorrow...

I've been quite lucky as I've had a few surprise days off during the week this month, usually I'm off on weekends when generally (but not always!) I can't be bothered going very far or I've got other things to do at home. Admittedly, I probably won't have done so well for mileage this month if I didn't have those days off. Once the days get longer (and warmer!) I plan to start taking advantage of having weekends off and start going a bit further afield.

I'm looking forward to hearing about where you're off to tomorrow, been a reader of your trip reports for a while now, always a good read.

Fishquinn has genned me up and got me changing my mind on the moves for the morning, but I'll have a decision made by later on I suspect. Weather forecast is looking good as of an hour ago for both plans, so we'll see.

Anybody got the miles data for the Nottingham Trams?

Unless I'm being blind and can't see it in the list of light rail distance charts

Edit - Found some data for the extensions from a FOI request to Nottingham Council:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/238982/response/590158/attach/3/4668 data.pdf

Time to break out excel :)

There's a link in the last year's mileage competition. Will find it for you when I get a chance.

When I charge my phone up later, I'll post the other bits later. My request on Gensheet earlier yielded results fast, thanks to the BLS researching it we now have data for the Midland Metro extension!

The conversion of data I got was that St Pauls to Bull Street is 40 chains :)

They've even been generous enough to provide data for the extension to Grand Central! Said data will be posted, with BLS credit of course, later on :)

After today's Welsh adventure to the middle of nowhere, not to mention through it multiple times, I'm now on 2,530 miles for 2016 so far. I aim to add a nice bit of mileage to that next Monday too, all being well I'll be well clear of 1,000 miles this month and pushing for 3,000 for the year! Not bad for a quiet month of February! :D

As I type, I'm in 9th in the table so I'm rather pleased. I'll be out of the top 20 well before the end of the year, no doubt, but let's see...
