It's a real shame people like 'Horizon' have to spoil what is just a little bit of fun for everyone else by entering an obviously fake result into the competition.

Finally completed my update so it's fair that I can now update my entry.

There seem to be 6 of us all very close together at the top, and then of course Mr Spock who has been ahead for some time.

Me, 12CSVT, Pumbaa, Trog, Kite and 33056 have sort of been near each other for a while (unless I've had some major lapses in memory!)

After doing ~ 420 miles on various Southern 377s, I'm going to say they are rather uncomfy for long distances. The 313s are more comfy

If you sit at a table, they're alright... 2+3 and you're dead :p

694 miles with a trip to Glasgow on Wednesday - a lot more than expected given the dewirement that meant I was diverted back via the East Coast for the return journey to Manchester!

The best I found were the bay seats with the quarter table.

Hull Trains will be crossed of my TOC list tomorrow, plus some extra Northern & TPE. Only proper TOCs (rather than branded such as Gatwick Express) left will be Grand Central, Merseyrail & Eurostar, plus the Tyne & Wear Metro.

Over the years, I've spent a LOT of time on 377s and while they're not amazing they're not *that* uncomfortable either.

Not been an update for me lately since I've not been anywhere since the epic London bash. However I am due out tomorrow for some sort of trip at long last, although it's a budget trip due to financial constraints. Still, the end of July and early August will bring a major trip so the future's looking good :D

The 377/7s (and the 377/6s I think - not been on one) have different seats to the 377/2. I can have a nice doze after work on the /2s, but not so much on the /7s; unfortunately that is what we are going to get on the MK services :(

Also, I am due a rather large update but won't bother until I have fully worked out a couple of rather long foreign journeys which I keep putting off. Must try and galvanise myself next week.....

Agreed, even the seats in First Class on the 7s are rock hard.

Just over 700 miles yesterday, and ~ 300 miles today. Although today wasn't about distance, more coverage of the underground map (plus Aylesbury). Lost around 50 miles having to cut short my East Yorkshire Round Robin after having a 70 minute delay (on a warm 142) between Hull & York :(

I'll have an update tomorrow, when I've finished sorting out my moves on RailMiles but I should have added a good 240 or miles as a rough guess.

Anyone got the mileage for Greenford (Central, LUL) to Shepherds Bush (Central, LUL)

RME gives "error in calculating node "

Updated to just past the 20k mark. The aim this year was to clear 30k, so looks like I'll be on for that!

Also accrued 1281 minutes of delay this year, giving me 0.064 minutes of delay per mile I travel. Highest total since 2009, which looking back was an awful year for sporadic large incidents delaying me by hours at a time. This year, almost every journey is delayed by 1 or 2 minutes although this trend is largely broken over the last two weeks with over 200 delay minutes!

Hi, is international mileage valid on this? Just asking as I will be getting a few miles in by train when I go to Canada later this year (September 16th to October 23rd).

Thanks.

Just passed the 20K mark

377450 on a Brighton/Southampton service, my workings out at just after Durrington-On-Sea. Although if it wasn't for FGW cancelling their Brighton service yesterday morning it would have been on a Javelin :( (although hopefully I will get some money back as it caused me a 2 and a bit hour delay getting into Ashford)

Mine should be up by 1000 or so after a week of commuting Capenhurst-Chester-Altrincham and back then two-weeks of commuting Epping-Stratford-Canary Wharf and back.

Then all the trips in between. Just need to find the time to update my spreadsheet!

Hi does anybody know the mileage from Earls Court to Heathrow T4 via 1,2,3?

The mileage engine keeps sending me back to Hatton Cross...

Thanks!

Ignore that, it does run via Hatton Cross, don't know what's got into me today!

I did have a chart of the metres between stops that was posted on Gensheet a while ago, but I'm curious as to whether your table is in metres, chains or whatever.

All tables are in metres.

I'm up to a measly 4589 after my work experience placement in Canary Wharf and two-weeks of commuting from Epping and back amongst other London Zone 1-6 bashes.
