After Ireland, I actually have no idea, hence my sig simply saying ">5000" (it is almost certainly more than 5500). Having totalled my National Rail -only mileage since I left, and not thrown in NIR, T&W, etc, I am on 4660. I probably accumulated roughly 1000 elsewhere. For the moment therefore, my official tally is 4660.

By the way, does anyone have mileage for the LUAS at all please? I would require the whole line, station by station (given the complexity of the journeys I took!)

I have got to get mine up to date, I'll have a stab today, but I've still got to calculate from mid March to yesteday's trips

I predict around about 10,000-11,000 miles, and, with three months off, there'll be a lot more to come

SHould be of note that it can be hard to deduce from Quail. For example, half of the stations on the Dublin-Kildare have moved or closed, Docklands, M3Parkway and the Western Corridor aren't in, and one stretch of track between Botnaic and Belfast Central is a 'short mile': it is still classed and recorded as a full mile despite being only 72 chains!

You've a lot of calculating to do, I've a lot of bashing to do! Tomorrow marks 4 weeks since my last bash, and I'm getting desperate. I'd have gone on one sooner, but I was determined to save some money last month. All of about £20, but it still counts! Tomorrow is when I was planning on going on a bash, but the tax office lot need a visit from me tomorrow, as do the admin lot at work. So it looks like Tuesday will be the next bash now, although quite frankly I can see something else bowling me out for that...

Oh well, whatever happens, happens. In 57 days time, I'll be on an ALR and raking in the mileage and coverage! Indeed, early predictions see me on a Voyager not far off terminating at Edinburgh at this exact moment in time in 57 days time!

Over the last couple of days, I've added 669 miles with a trip to London, Birmingham, Cardiff and Crewe. A trip report is likely to appear sometime soon. Yearly total now stands at 2826 - impressive for me!

I've still not even reached half of my 2011 target yet, residing at 4,400 and something. Somehow I don't see me hitting my 10,000 miles target by the end of the year

Finally got over 5,000 miles yesterday, somewhere between Wood End and Stratford-upon-Avon on 150003 by the looks of it. About time I reached the half way mark, just need to reach the 10,000 mile target now. Which quite frankly shouldn't be too difficult on my ALR. 5,090 miles for the moment, might be increasing that again tomorrow!

Finally smashed the 10,000 mile mark just South of Levenshulme yesterday on the way to the DRS Open Day, about 50% up year on year.

As had to use AXC from New Street to Edinburgh at least had a seat in first. But then on monday got to experince 1st class with Virgin from Glasgow Central on Penny the Pendo' And have to say it was excellent and free alcholic drinks

That's good to hear Chris89, I personally greatly prefer the VT service to that offered by XC. I find XC to be utter crap, although when I look for a Birmingham to Scotland journey, I usually end up on XC because of the price difference.

Having said that, since using the Super Voyager to Edinburgh, just as a one off to see how much better it is compared to the XC, I've not travelled Birmingham to Scotland, but will always try to use VT If the prices aren't too much more. At the time I paid £84 ish with a YP BHM to EDB on the 08:20 from Birmingham, although the price is greatly putting me off- particularly when I can do cheaper Pendo journeys north of Preston, or like yesterday, take the 06:40 Super Voyager ex Preston for a decent price.

I was honestly disapointed with AXC first class but had to go with them as VT's singles were massivly to expensive about £65 standard and £100 First.

Well i would certainly try to travel 1st with VT again when i can afford to as found it to be ace, also i do still prefer the Pendo's to voyagers just for the extra space really. Also i prefer VT's Super voyagers because the ride seems to be much smoother due to the tilting.

I have a table of four to myself on both the Pendo's I travelled on yesterday (Glasgow Euston/Euston Preston), and barely noticed the tilt on the Super Voyager (Preston to Glasgow).

The thing I really like about VT sandwiches, is that they have alot more to them if you like, compared to the good offered by XC.

e.g. My salt beef sandwich yesterday had emmental cheese, gerkins, red slaw etc which all combined to give it an extra kick to the saltiness of the beef.

This has got very off topic.. sorry!

Moving on.. My current mileage total is 13,226 miles.

Haha that is fair. I just had serval free beers, as the sandwiches that were aviable i didn't like the sound of that i was offered.

You notice the tilt more on the northern sections of the WCML, or really you notice it more when it has broken down. But guessing more used to them since used on the Wolvo- Edinburgh services much more.

Anyone know the mileage or route for mileage engine for sleepers FGW and FSR not sure where they go as am asleep.

FGW Sleeper
Penzance-Plymouth-Exeter St Davids-Taunton, then either via the Westbury Avoider and newbury OR Bristol Temple meads and Swindon, to Reading and Paddington. The latter route is very rarelky done, it is booked via the former.

Fort William-Helensburgh Upper-Westerton-Falkirk High-Edinburgh
Inverness-Perth-Stirling-Falkirk Grahamston-Edinburgh
Aberdeen-Dundee-Leuchars-Kirkcaldy-Edinburgh

Both then travel via the WCML (Lockerbie-Oxenholme-Crewe), through the Trent Valley, and via Northampton (though it can be via Weedon) to Euston.
