It's just a method for the depot to differentiate the two halves of a vehicle, which otherwise appear externally to be mirrors of each other. When doing fault reports it would be very error-prone without the A and B designations, where otherwise the direction of the pantograph would have to be the reference point.

100 Metrolink M5000 tram is now in service and is doing MediaCity to Piccadilly route today.

The Metrolink system will become split tomorrow with no rail connection for about 8-weeks.

Do we know which trams are stuck in which sections?

3101 tram which arrival to Queens Road depot back on July 4? have entry into service yesterday doing Rochdale to Ashton route, this tram will stay on this line until end of months when single line start operation at St Peter Square and this tram probably be sent to Trafford depot.

As for 3102 tram that arrival on 25th July and current at Queens Road depot waiting is turn to entry into service.

I thought deliveries were supposed to speed up somewhat, now Blackpool's lot are all done? Or am I getting mixed up somewhere?

Hopefully some of these new trams make an appearance during my Macunian festers next Sunday and a week tomorrow, would be nice to add some more ticks to the NREA!

The still seen to be delivery every three weeks and I don't think that will change given last one (3120) isn't meant to come until 2016.

As for seeing new trams you best place will be at Deansgate and Cornbrook stop as mostly new ones are current running on Airport, Eccles and East Didsbury lines.

If you only travelling around Piccadilly to Victoria area then you probably only see few new ones as they only allowed to do Rochdale to Ashton (I think four new trams are current stored at Queens Road depot while work is going on at St Peter Square) but the be good chance you will see 3101 tram as current running on that route.

They did speed up again, they dropped to every four weeks while Blackpools were being delivered, the same low loader was making both journeys each month.

3104 arrived to Queens Road depot today, just 16 more M5000 trams to be delivery now.

3104 entry into service last weekend (9th or 10th October) and here picture of it leaving Freehold stop.

drove 103 for the first time on Saturday, 400KM on the clock and still had that new tram smell.

Do they still have the new tram rubber squeak? The early ones the articulation bellows always creaked like crazy for the first couple of weeks till they were worn soft.

I travelled on 3104 (paired with 3092) on an Ashton to Rochdale service on Thursday 8 October.

I went to Manchester on Tuesday 6 October and Thursday 8 October. My observations (not full service on all lines) were:

Peak weekday turnout at moment is 88 so you got practically all of them. Current daily turnout figure is up to 13th Sep you will have to wait a couple of months for the next committee meeting to know the exact turnout on 6th and 8th.

Yes there are 8 trams/diagrams on the Airport service but you did get all of the Alty shorts! Also I think that there should be 15 trams (or should I say diagrams) on the Rochdale to Ashton services.

3107 came to Queens Road depot on 14th November but haven't entry into service (they no report of this tram in service so far)

3108 look like have arrival to Queens Road depot today (28th November) but this is off Metrolink twitter page and haven't be confirm elsewhere.

3109 have arrival at Queens Road depot on Saturday 12th December and will be last tram to delivery until new year.

3107 & 3108 is now in service and is current running on Shaw to Exchange Square or Rochdale to Ashton service.

Tram number 3109 to 3111 are all in service now and running on Oldham/Rochdale and Droylsden/Ashton lines.

3112 tram arrival last weekend and is current doing millage testing before entry onto system.
