ŴKI is totally new & yellow.
NBN is better, all 507 except xx23 each hour.
032 is on 0831 CTR-CTR and at 90 min intervals to 2200.
There appeared to be another 507 stabled next to 507020 at Southport around 1600hrs tonight. Many thanks for today's report CallmeDave. I was hoping for 507001 and 002 together and your gen has saved me the cost of a day ticket and the ensuing disappointment.
Wouldn't it be nice if on 508104's last day they recognise it in a small way, say with 'farewell 508' notices in the cabs like Southeastern did with their 508s? They won't last as long as the 507s, but 44 years is an impressive lifespan.
Thanks for that you're very welcome. Though it does seem shortly after posting stuff things always change. It would be great if 104 could be celebrated in some way. Perhaps part of an all day 6 car. Many thanks for today's report CallmeDave. I was hoping for 507001 and 002 together and your gen has saved me the cost of a day ticket and the ensuing disappointment.

Can you please explain what all these abbreviations/codes mean? Please edit your post to make it clear as it makes it hard for some to understand what you are talking about.05.01.23. As below. Things may change etc note the gap in 104s workings

Merseyrail customers would prefer trains which actually work properly and can be relied upon.
These are Network Rails three letter station codes ie SOP Southport, HNX Hunts Cross, HBL Headbolt Lane. They are available on RTT. I visited a new station on Thursday, Buckley so RTT told me that it was BCK. As simple as that. Can you please explain what all these abbreviations/codes mean? If it helps they are CRS codes used for seat reservation systems. They are usually easier to work out as the include letters from station name.Erm no, which is why we say this in our forum rules:
I don’t personally know what all the codes are and I don’t want to look them up just to access some information. Clearly other people feel the same way or they wouldn’t be asking us deal with this kind of thing. The above rule was made for good reasons and the rules are also run by the membership periodically.
- Please remember, many members do not understand “jargon” (including acronyms, codes and specialist terms). Such terms should be correctly defined the first time they are used in a thread; codes and abbreviations must not be made up.
And that, is as simple as that.![]()
Thanks for gen prod pep..really helps todays journey. If it goes to plan (and it often doesn't. ). 104 should do.Out on the early shift this morning. 507001 is on the Southport line for anyone after it. So far, it has done the 0559 Sandhills - Southport followed by the 0657 Southport - Hunts Cross and currently the 0806 return.
Last 508 standing, 508104, took the first service from Southport at 0538 followed by the 0651 return from Hunts X.
Starting with the 0538 from Southport, today's line-up on the big route is: 508104, 507015, 507016, 507011, 507013, 507001, 507018, 507014, 507017, 507007.
507002 (Liverpool end) and 507021 formed the 5T60 Southport - Kirkdale empties earlier. Presumably these two are destined for repair at Birkenhead.
507032 is on the Ellesmere Port route again, currently forming the 1042 E. Port - Liverpool - E. Port.
Pleasure. I'll update my earlier post if anything else interesting crops up.Thanks for gen prod pep..really helps todays journey. If it goes to plan (and it often doesn't. ). 104 should do.

Any sign of what units are stabled at New Brighton?Pleasure. I'll update my earlier post if anything else interesting crops up.
Caption boards are claiming the 1130 from Central to Chester is a three-car but that's far from a confirmation! Edit: nope, it's a 777.![]()
507004 and 507031 in siding 1, plus 507002 and 507021 in the wallside siding.Any sign of what units are stabled at New Brighton?

What’s stopping 777 allocations being ramped up on Southports? Isn’t there still only one?Eventful day today. 507033, seemingly the only spare 507/8, has been drafted in as 507023's New Brighton line replacement, currently doing the 1753 circuit. 033 moved to the Wirral from Southport as 5T65 this afternoon.
They're well short now and perilously close to having to drop service for lack of stock. What an inspired decision to retire two perfectly serviceable sets this week with up to eight 507s out.

Likely crew training for one thing. One 777 on weekdays but none at weekends so far. What’s stopping 777 allocations being ramped up on Southports? Isn’t there still only one?
Yes one 777 operating weekdays on the Southport - Hunts Cross line. What’s stopping 777 allocations being ramped up on Southports? Isn’t there still only one?
Ahh, okay thanks. Quite an outlier, that route, not only for having the only double 50x but the only one where 777s are not quite considerably the majority.Likely crew training for one thing. One 777 on weekdays but none at weekends so far.
The New Brighton line is due to go over to fully 777 in February and more 777 diagrams on the Southport line at a similar time.Ahh, okay thanks. Quite an outlier, that route, not only for having the only double 50x but the only one where 777s are not quite considerably the majority.
Unless the half hour gap in the Southports every other hour is intentional or was caused by something else, wasn’t exactly that already happening today? They're well short now and perilously close to having to drop service for lack of stock
It failed at Moorfields and 'stopped play' for me trying to pick some last bits of 507s up! I did manage 507001 & 508104 though for decent runs so not all bad news. Also, 507023 is now languishing in siding 2 complete with a fitter trying to sort its door problem. It broke down earlier on whilst working the New Brighton line (.53 departures). The other service 507s on this line are 507010 (.38 departures) and 507029 (.08).
