Some train drivers (I think you know which TOC I'm on about) can earn £60,000 upwards with a lot of overtime and Sundays!
Both are too high IMHO
I'd be interested to know why you think it's too high and which TOC you're referring to.... with any job, you take out what you put in, if I'm prepared to do the overtime why should it bother you what I receive for it?
For the responcibility we take on I think we're remunarated very fairly, although obviously it's not consistent across the board. A wizz kid with a lap top could earn more setting up a dot-com business within the first year or two, but if it went belly up wouldn't have that much responcibilty to bear, whereas if I, XCDriver, Driver9000 etc made a horrendous error, we could easily find ourselves with a manslaughter charge hanging over our heads.
