Possible yes, but to repair shifted tyres? Very unlikely.

Then again, DCR moving possibly legit stock? Look at the heaps they moved from Yeovil Railway Centre to Dartmoor a few years back. God knows what state they were, apart from fit for the scrapyard!

Photo says that due to its fault it needs to be in the middle of 4 coaches. Guessing for brake force. Can't think of any other reason.

Damaged/defective brake gear? If was a slipped tyre seriously doubt it would have been moved by rail!

Sounds like a brake fault, an unbraked vehicle in the formation is known as having a 'swinger' I believe.

I believe a swinger is when the unbaked unit is on the rear of the configuration. Which can't be moved at more than 5 or 15 mph if memory serves. (not sure which. Think it is 5)

One (iffy) possibility is that because of the shifted tyre they have isolated the brakes on the coach and it has been given authority to move at a reduced speed as long as it is boxed in and has sufficient other vehicles to provide the necessary brake force, although this does seem a rather sensible idea to be true!
