2) Fast and slow up & down lines between Euston and Weaver Junction. This doesn't need so much work - mostly between Rugby and Stafford.
I thought that following TV4, there was only Hillmorton as 3track?

3) Installing flyovers or dive-unders at MAJOR junctions, such as Hitchin, Newark Crossing, Doncaster Marshgate, Colwich Junction, Westerleigh, Stoke Gifford. The list is almost endless.
Quite a few XC services do the Camp Hills already and there is a project about re-opening stations down there.I'd like to see the New Street - Moseley - Kings Norton upgraded and have regular XC (and local) services run along it. It'll save time reversing Wolverhampton - Cheltenham services.
The track bed is protected and a study is also being done about re-opening, along with Stourbridge - Bescot. Also, I think it's feasible to open (re-open?) a line from Derby through Lichfield and Walsall to the North-West entrance of New Street. Again, it's to obviate reversing Derby - Birmingham - Coventry XC services.
As a sort-of side issue, I'd like the ENTIRE Passenger TimeTable converted to Clock face. I reckon it could be done, but I'm denied the mechanism to (dis)prove it.
Define clock face. If you want stuff leaving at xx.00, xx.15 etc.... then its very difficult. If you are prepared to accept xx.06, xx.36, xx.06, then its easier.
Quail is out of date (and full of little mistakes elsewhere...) Its 4 track all the way from Attleborough South to Colwich now. Colwich to Milford isnt congested so doesnt need it. Its debatable if it needs it north of Winsford at the current time.A number of points raised that I'd like to comment on
1) As Planner said, it's 3 track from Trent Valley Junction to about a mile and a half south of Nuneaton (Attleborough Junction), but according to my Quail map, it's 4-track from there to immediately north of Tamworth, then double track to Armitage Junction (with loops for Lichfield TV) when it opens out to 4-track until Colwich Junction. Then it's 2-track from here through Shugborough Tunnel, then opens to 3-track (Milford Junc) then 4-track (Whitehouse Junc). It's 4-track from there, through Stafford and (debatably) Crewe until Winsford South. It's 2 track to Weaver Junction, with the exception of an up slow loop between Acton Bridge and Hartford Junction. I'd still want ALL of this line upgraded to 4 track.
Flyover, and it increases journey times due to its gradient. It was a toss up over paths and that, paths won by a country mile.4) So, Hitchen is going to get its junction by-passed. How's it being done - a flyover over the existing tracks, or a tunnel UNDER them?
5) Ah-ha, so it IS called the Camp Hill line! I'd heard that XC sometimes used this line, but on an unscheduled basis only. Can I assume that it is now officially on the XC network?

I don't suppose it would have mattered if it was tunnel or flyover, there would have been a bit of extra time added. However, it's uphill one way and downhill on the other side, so I doubt there'll be much delay.Flyover, and it increases journey times due to its gradient. By the sound of it, you're one of those lucky so-and-so's that has access to a WTT. If I had access, I, too, would have known - that's a hint by the way!Plenty routed along there in the WTT since May this year, just as much from December.
