I was travelling today on the 1223 York to Blackburn service (normally Blackpool North) and it has a scheduled call at Low Moor at 1323, this seemed odd as Low Moor is normally served by the 10 past the hour Chester service (aswell as the Huddersfield and Grand Central services). On checking RTT it would appear for just one hour in the day the 1310 Chester service runs no stop through Low Moor and instead the normally non stop Blackpool service calls at 1323, does anyone know the reason behind this break in the otherwise clockface timetable?
