Frequent tight turns at full lock on the 12m E500’s will likely cause there tires to wear out alittle quicker than a longer 13.4m B8L, given the 500’s shorter wheelbase creating a tight turn angle causing increased sideways tire scrub on the Tag.All I can say is that the tarmac at the corner of Gibson Street and University Avenue was destroyed by E500s turning on full left lock with a fixed tag. I’ve never seen that before or since and it hasn’t recurred since the route changed to Gemini/E400s. It’s also been reported here that the E500s destroy the tyres on their tag axles on a regular basis. The B8/XLB might be different but I doubt it
They certainly would go through less tag tires with an active tag.
