Hi All,
To those that are waiting I believe the last intake is February. Then after that those who haven’t made it onto the February one will be on a waiting list. So when people leave the role etc then they can backfill from those on waiting list. Hope that helps
Is this that the last intake is starting or finishing their training in February?

I’m on the Janurary course and was under the impression it was the final one they were running so if there’s another course now, that’s pretty positive for anyone else in the thread waiting!

Hi Mate, there is a course starting in Feb. Believe that’s the last one.

Hello,
Has anyone else received the email today about being placed on the waitlist and informed that there are no future dates for the starting course? I’m a bit disappointed and hoping I won’t have to wait years to start, hopefully still sometime this year.

Did they not give any idea how long it could be

Unfortunately, no. I’ve been trying to get in touch with the onboarding team, but they’ve been very unresponsive. They no longer reply to emails or phone calls. I’m just trying to figure out if they need to launch a new campaign to proceed with new courses/ start dates.

So from my understanding those that are on the waiting list could be a little while. The plan is to backfill when RCOs leave. So 20 on a waiting list when RCOs leave for other roles then people on waiting list can just slot in rather than having to do another campaign. Should be some movement this year as few RCOs will become train ops/RCIs etc

I thought that might be the case.
I’m sorry, but I do have a few questions, I understood you are doing the job already.

Is the probation period six months or nine months? Did they ever mention how many people applied versus how many received a conditional offer? Also, as a RCO, do you have the opportunity to work overtime? Lastly, do you always work with the same RCO team, or do you rotate between different team members? Do you have a fixed meeting location each day, or does it change depending on the station?

The probation is six months. When training for RCO you’ll also be trained as a CSA, so I believe you could possibly do overtime at a station as a CSA. You are put into a team and that would be your work team as an RCO. Occasionally you’ll work with other teams, but the team that you are put into is your work life team. You can decide with your team where you want to meet, but usually most people just meet up at the location you’ll be working at the start of your shift, and then travel together throughout the rest of you shift

I asked the question in my assessments.

2000+ people applied for the role. Around 200 got shortlisted to AC1 and I was told when I went for AC2 about two thirds had been invited back for AC2. Doesn’t actually answer your question about how many received an offer, but does put some perspective on it
