Good idea, but the 139s are there to stay and it is a waste of fuel using a 150 on the STB branch. Partly why the 153 went. I mean the 139 is empty sometimes and to imagine even a 153 leaving empty is a waste of money. The 139 isn't that bad. It gets you from A to B and its only for 2-4 mins. I quite like the change when catching it.

You dont see this every day!
This is one of atsf_ft photos he left on my pc at home!!!
150 009 split from it front power car! taken on 2.8.2011
Reason for spliting is unknow!
If only I had my own 150 to go with it !On ebay there is an ex Central Trains class 150 destination blind, just thought i would mention it as the 150s will soon be going and thought it might be of interest to anyone wanting to collect memorabilia for the class 150s.
Great shots! Obviously 001 didn't have a serious problem on Thursday. Lucky as well! Just been on a bike ride and seen 009 and 132 together on the 1:46 from Dorridge and 150007 at Danzey on its way to Stratford. Three of my favourite units.
Very good photo there, hopefully i might be able to get a day off to travel up to the west midlands to do some trips on the london midland class 150's before they go to Northern and FGW
Does anyone know when a 150 was last sighted on the Chase Line? The last one I saw was in October 2010.
The last photo of a Class 150 I have was October 16th (Pictures below) when 150108 worked on the Chase Line, next weekend, a Class 170 was running and haven't seen one since
tbh i would pay to see an Class 150 on the Chase Line one more time!
Take it you got 170's now then!!!!
Yes. London Midland introduced 170's on the route when they first took over from Central in November 07. It first almost all trains were 170+153 'combi' trains which took a bit of getting use to at first. These have become less common recently as more 3 car 170's are being used and many trains now only have 2 cars due to the 153's being transfered to other franchises.
150's contunied to be used on Saturdays untill mid-2010 and made the ocasional weekday apearence.
It is a shame to see them go because 150's were the staple traction on the Chase for the best part of 20 years, but the line is truely owned by the 170's now.
Class 150's used to work as far at Stafford before they stopped the Rugeley Trent Valley to Stafford in 2008 or 9

If London Midland keep a few 150's what routes will they be dedicated to?
Just out of interest Simon, have you got any more Chase Line photos if you don't mind sharing them? Possibly from the mid 90's or back when 120's used to use the line?
Do you think they'll do a farewell tour for the 150's?
National Express West Midlands did when the withdrew that last of the classic Metrobus. To be fair, those were as much as a brummie transport icon as the 150's and 323's are.
Will there be any chance of seeing 172's on the Chase?
