Here are a few photos taken today at Stratford and Hall Green. I have given them a new name "LOLLY POPS" as they are that clean you want to like them!!!!!!!

Units are 172 333, 337 and 341.

As far as I can see the leave Tyseley for Stratford at 10.05,12.05 and 14.05, there is a quick turn round for the return to Tyseley.

Sorry; pic number 2 on post 62, is that gaffer tape on the exhaust?!

Didn't know things were that bad :|

But thanks for the pics. Interesting to see the corridor mechanisms. Is the internal door arrangements the same as the 377s? Ie hinged central door which ordinarily sits across the corridor connection, but then closes the cab off and essentially you can't get in it if it's sandwiched?

126 and 108 set to depart Tyseley this weekend for fGW. Decals removed on depot this evening.

Units for fGW will depart first allowing 142s to return north, and then release 180s.

Somewhere only we know
Do these things have BSI couplings meaning they can be connected to 153s like the current LM Turbostars can?

No idea if they'd WANT to do that.. just curious.

Yes, the couplers are the same as 170s, so I would presume so

They have the same couplers as the 170s so they'll be able to work with 15xs, 168s etc. Does anyone know how compatible they are with pacers and 165/166s?

Whilst 14x/15x/16x/170s all have BSI couplers the electrical presentation to the couplers is different on the 16x and working in multiple will not work between a 16x and the others.:(

It certainly appears to be so.. there's something that looks suspiciously like that on the floor in the cab as well.. then again I've seen two different types of corridor connectors so far.. looks like Bombardier have been raiding the spares bin again (379, anyone?)

Just to be 100% sure, you're on about 150s there? Took me a while to determine that much, why on Earth I thought you meant 172s I have no idea!

Does this mean 172s are actually in service now? Things must have improved dramatically over the last 2 weeks then!

Will the corridor fit a Sprinter standard corridor?
There supposed to... (I think) :)

Supposedly, the first 172/3s will enter service within the next few weeks and will gradually free up the 150s.

Cheers. It's going to look rather strange to see ex-LM 150s in Cornwall!

It'll be even more strange seeing ex Network West Midlands 150126 In Cornwall!

Speaking of 126, Did anyone on here manage to capture any phots of the debranded 150108 & 126 on their move down west? Presumably they would have gone to Bristol first, ala Ex LOROL 150s?...

Nope, as I didn't find out about it until late on Sunday. Indeed, the NWM livery is going to look mighty odd down in FGW land, although I suppose we already know how the ex-CT/LM liveried lot will look down there thanks to 150125's brief travels down there. For anyone curious, here it is at Bath Spa way back almost a year ago on 6th August 2010:

Great news 150001 and 002 are staying! However, they will surely need refurbishing by LM, as the interiors aren't the best. It would be great to see one in LM livery as well.:D

I did make an LM 317 in trainz (317 looks similar to 150/2) but I can't find the pictures at the moment.

No more 150s will be off for a while yet. Not until some 172s have settled in to service.

Yeah. The 150s could stay in the green livery but the interiors need a heavy revamp. New seats and panels are certainly needed!:D

LM staff have been told 150005/7/9 are to be reformed as 2 car's and staying. 150001 & 002 going as they are not able to be used on Marston Vale line. LM want shot of the 2 prototypes as many parts are nonstandard & the units are the least reliable 150's. Snr Conductors don't like the scuds as they have no middle cabs to operate doors from causing delays on busy trains.

Intermediate Door Controls are a simple modification that can be fitted to 150s though, both ATWs and FGWs 150 fleets have them fitted allowing doors to opened at half of all doors on the train.

That's probably because they've got so used to using the reformed 3 car sets and it's just convenient. To be honest, I have only ever seen the panel on the centre cab used once, all the other times they've activated it from the rear cab. You say on busy trains: they don't come out of their cab at all so how can they cause delays if they're not there; I don't blame them!

Do we have anything firm confirming which 150s are staying cos ive heard two stories so far?

If this one is true how many are as of yet unallocated?

OK, this is getting slightly confusing. So where would 001 and 002 go then if they did go?
