Reported today that the Dundee Heathrow route will come to an end in October.

With the Southampton and Exeter news last week, tough times for a small airline with these unprofitable routes.

They announced the end of the Dundee route months ago. It is a PSO route and the amount they were getting wasn't worth it.

Southampton's closure is more interesting, and probably related to their expansion in Jersey.

Perhaps I misunderstood. I thought Loganair were keeping Southampton and possibly even increasing service to the Channel Islands but flights from MAN to SOU and Exeter were being dropped.

They’re shutting the base at Southampton, even though they only opened it a year ago. Not sure what routes will still serve Southampton, and from where- some of the MAN-SOU flights were previously operated by an IOM-based plane.
