I immediately thought somewhere vaguely in the Spalding or Lincoln area.Yes, that zero’d headcode panel does suggest January 1976 onwards, does it not have a Great Northern & Great Eastern Joint Line look to it perhaps?
Great work @D6130 !The large white-gabled building identifies the location as Woodbridge, Suffolk. I would guess that the train is the evening peak Liverpool Street-Lowestoft service.
Yes, as said in #6 it appears to be Ferry Quay Level Crossing just north of Woodbridge station.
It would have been the historical LNER.Is that on LNER tracks?
Yes....the footbridge has been renewed and I believe that the house beyond the white gable is the station building. The white gabled building is the Riverside Cinema, Bar and Restaurant....formerly known as the Woodbridge Electric Theatre and opened in 1915. That would be a good one for the "Settlement Association" thread!Looks a bit different today, but the house beyond the white gable appears to have survived.
From those excellent photos, it would seem that the footbridge has not been renewed....just repainted.Fairly similar views to the OP's picture
