LNR extra stops during disruption

Quite a different approach on this from London Midland, it appears.

Cheddington, for example, has suffered a lot recently due to no extra stop orders being made; this week there's no northbound service from Euston to CED between 2154 and 2340 due to the engineering works timetable - LM used to stop the 2244 at CED to compensate for the 2304 not running but that doesn't happen now. On 18 Dec there was a good 4-hour gap between southbound trains in the afternoon due the cancellation of successive xx04 services because of a fatality; there were plenty of LNR trains running through but no extra stop orders made.

Anyone else noticed a change? I always thought LM were extremely good at this.

We had this in spades for the WCLM 2004 - the OPRAF service spec for 1996 showed a crashing disconnect of 2 tph each day - all day , when queried the civil service drone refused to change. (this being when the fast line capacity had been sold to Virgin)

So - with an average of 1.2 passengers per station call off peak , the present plan of 1 tph all day (and cutting the slow MK back to Tring came in) , with an extra call in the peak was implemented. Cheddington is not Bushey for sure ! ......

Yep, all fair points - I was only using Cheddington as an example of a different attitude, (although as ChiefPlanner says, it's no fun being stranded there with no idea what's going on!) and wondered if anyone else had noticed a difference?

Maybe a gentle email to "son of LM" would be appropriate , - as they need to honour the hourly call. Even during Eng Ops.

Daily Fail would just love to report the death of someone found dead in the up waiting shelter on very cold night....

I’ve noticed the whole thing being lackadaisical and rubbish. For example lots of missing formation information on the PIS.
