Does seem odd how we were told we would hear last week and then early this week, id imagine covid causing more issues

Basically, a load of people were offered jobs which never actually appeared. People were kept on the hook for around a year and a lot of promises were broken. The whole thing was a shambles to be honest. It was in effect a talent pool which was never the way it was described to people who were told they were successful - 'we are delighted to offer you a job', then a year later it was 'we are withdrawing your offer'.
There is a very long thread elsewhere on this board which you can read if you want more information.
There was the standard we will be in touch emails and we are still committed in taking you on followed by weeks/months of nothing.
Then as previously mentioned the withdrawal of the offer around 12 months after. Trouble is it’s technically the same company but with a different name and seems like it’s going down the same route.
Might be wrong but reading on other boards about pulling the trainee drivers for Sheffield and Liverpool due to Covid doesn’t fill me with much hope.

Different reasons why TPE pulled them jobs though, I believe LNER do need more drivers but I feel covid has affected this and this could be a long drawn out process unfortunately
Be prepared for a long wait ... there was a group of trainees which has passed classroom but can't get in the cab as its not been agreed between company and union about trainees in cab due to covid.
There is also another trainees second week in which should be doing a week of cab riding now but its on hold same reason as above.
So I doubt they will start anymore courses until its all been agreed. Plus if they start a third group they won't have enough trainers and trainees will be sat around trying to get handling hours in.

I just got the email. Passed.
Altho need to redo the group bourdon as they require an enhanced pass.

Yep just got the pass email too which is great news. Next for me is an MMI and computer tests...

Any thoughts on the mention of doing the Bourdon test again? Will this be for the 4 dots test only or for the whole psychometric test? I've emailed back to ask the question but just wondered what your thoughts were? Cheers

Is the teams interview the next step after the telephone interview? Had the telephone interview but only received the “we’ve not forgotten you” email recently and nothing else.
Not for all. I got the thanks but no thanks.
Which I was expecting since I totally fluffed the interview. Shame, I already had the Psychometrics at enhanced too.. well done to those that passed.
