Video, you have 12.5min to think about answer and 3min max recording for each question so a lot of time to think. It's straight forward and depends what answers they are looking for

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

You see each question as it goes but before each question 12.5min to think about answer
Ahh right that’s not bad then, similar to the initial 1 question video where you get the question then can come up with an answer but with the time limit added

Anyone know how long it takes generally to get from closing date to psychometrics?

I ask as I failed first stage tests with another toc last April (infuriating because I actually passed them before)

I didn't realise it had changed to 12 months between tests so obviously I'm hoping the tests wouldn't be until April or is it the old 'how longs a piece of string'

Well I have completed the video interview. Standard stuff I'd say but having 1 minute to prepare an answer is not great and having to think of examples. I managed to think of a few.

Unfortunately I accidentally submitted the wrong recording on one of the questions and I suspect that will be me out unless I can e-mail them and get to redo it or something. I did answer the question in the next question as well as the next question but I suspect I've messed it up. So disappointed.

Got the video interview invite about 24 hours after error checking.

Is it 1 minute? Previous post said 12.5 mins to prepare?

You click reveal question then you have a minute from when the question is revealed to prepare an answer before it automatically records you.

According to the website next step would be DMI

Just completed my video interview, like others have said fairly straightforward, I did plan for more complicated questions so was a bit thrown off by the simplicity. Fingers crossed it’s enough for the next stage

Strange you guys are saying you only got a minute. I got 12 mins 30 sec to prepare an answer on every question.

I had 1 min to prep and 3 min to answer, maybe they have a couple of different versions?

I have just completed my SJT and now have my errors test to do. I was going to wait a while, maybe until tomorrow to do this. However, I know the closing date is tomorrow. Do I need to have the error test and then the subsequent video interview (if I pass the errors test) done by the closing or do I still have the ‘within 3 days’ like the email says. Sorry if that is a stupid question, just wouldn’t want to leave and then not get the opportunity to complete it.

You will still have the 3 days the closing date is just for people getting applications completed and submitted

Are you saying you have the option to complete error checking and the video interview together? I dont think any others got that but it might be because we submitted our applications not long after they went up.

Why are some folk getting 12.5 mins and others 1? Hardly seems fair and right.

Unless it's related to scoring on the SJT/error checking tests?

I got 1 minute but I'm not fussed, I would spend 12 minutes researching and second guessing for the perfect answer.

1 minute just kept me honest, that probably works better for me, that should be enough and if it's not c'est la vie!

I only re recorded one because I got a bit tongue tied. The rest I was happy with my first take.

Done mine today for the video interview and by how I dislike them.

For the time I imagine it was a typo by the person who posted it as 1 min prep followed by 3 min to answer the question.

Time to just wait and see

I've applied for the LNER London Kings Cross talent pool.

So far I had to i) submit the application with the CV and certificates, ii) do a five question typed answer interview with an AI chat bot (no time limit at all), iii) do a video interview with the AI chat bot (also no time limit), iv) do a 15 question SJT with a 25 minute limit, and then v) do an error checking test with a 10 minute limit.

I did not get a confirmation email after the error checking test but I got a 'you're through to the next round' email after a few minutes on every other part of the process.

It is surprising how varied the application process is for LNER roles.

That’s me just completed my video interview… after revealing the question it gave me 12mins also to hit record and answer giving me 2 times to record if needed. Not sure how it went to be honest, had scenarios and followed STAR just may have rushed through them however tried to include what they wanted to hear! Waiting game now
