On Sundays 16th & 23rd of this month, my wife - who uses an electric wheelchair - and I travelled from Darlington to London Kings Cross with LNER.

I booked passenger assistance on the LNER website. Got the confirmation email. Arrived at Darlo & went to the help desk & was escorted to the platform and helped on with the ramp, arrived at KGX and the guy was just walking up to the coach door as I got out with the suitcase. We were escorted to right near the exit.

Same for coming back from KGX, the system seemed to work flawlessly for us and was a relief considering the nightmare stories I have seen on here and elsewhere. So nice one to LNER for making our journey so much easier.

As an aside, it was quite strange to see KGX station so comparatively quiet, even though it was Sunday midday / early afternoon in times of a pandemic.

It was also a bit warm wearing a mask in the Azumas, there didn't seem to be much airflow / ventilation.

That's nice to know, hope you've told LNER.

As with many things, "when they are good, they are very very good, but when they are bad...."

Yes, that's one of the advantages of social media for companies - it's very easy to pass praise and complaints on. I do hope that the praise finds its way the right people when it is said that it will be.

good to hear kings cross actually get their job. I've had so many bad experiences with that station but I now try very hard not to use it. As others have said I hope you told LNER
