I'm thinking of doing a Great Escape to try and catch my last few 153's. Does anyone have the current weekday and weekend diagrams of these please? AFAIK there is one on Rugeleys, one on Coventry-Nuneaton, one on Bedford-Bletchley and one on the Snow Hill lines. Does anyone know what times these run, and also if I have missed any?

Thanks

There's one 153 on the Coventry to Nuneaton line that works all services, right the way through the week. The 153 on the Bedford-Bletchley line works one of the two diagrams on that line, so shouldn't be hard to find. The services worked by a 170+153 formation on the Chase line are as follows:
On weekdays on the current timetable, it's the folllowing departures from Rugeley Trent Valley:

0739, 0942, 1206, 1606, 1812.

From Birmingham New Street:

0627, 0839, 1039, 1307 (Terminates at Walsall), 1439, 1707.

The 153's are not used at weekends on the Chase Line anymore, neither of the 150's.

I reccommend you don't use the 0739 from Rugeley, or the 1707 from New Street, as these are very overcrowded peak time trains.

And I think that the Snow Hill line diagram for a 150+153 is still:
The diagram for the units are (just incase any interested):

0928d Dorridge - Stourbridge 1017a (departs Snow Hill 0953)

1025d Stourbridge - Dorridge 1122a (departs Snow Hill 1057)

1128d Dorridge - Stourbridge 1217a (departs Snow Hill 1153)

1225d Stourbridge - Dorridge 1321a (departs Snow Hill 1257)

1328d Dorridge - Stourbridge 1417a (departs Snow Hill 1353)

1425d Stourbridge - Dorridge 1521a (departs Snow Hill 1457)

1528d Dorridge - Stourbridge 1617a (departs Snow Hill 1553)

1625d Stourbridge - Dorridge 1717a (departs Snow Hill 1657)

1727d Dorridge - Worcester 1858a (departs Snow Hill 1753)

I THINK the 153 diagrams on the Marston Vale are

Bletchley 0637 - Bedford 0721
Bedford 0731 - Bletchley 08:14
Bletchley 08:39-Bedford 09:23
Bedford09:33 - Bletchley 10:16
Bletchley 10:55 - Bedford 11:38
Bedford 11:55 - Bletchley 12:38
Bletchely 13:01 - Bedford 13:45
Bedford 13:55 - Bletchley 14:38
Bletchley 15:01 - Bedford 15:45
Bedford 15:55 - Bletchely 16:38
Bletchley 16:47 - Bedford 17:31
Bedford 17:37 - Bletchley 18:20
Bletchley 18:31 - Bedford 19:15
Bedford 19:35 -Bletchley 20:18
Bletchley 21:01 - Bedford 21:45
Bedford 21:56 - Blethcley 22:39

On a Saturday the diagrams swap over so on Saturday the 150 will do these runs and the 153 the other runs.

If you want to phtograph one other than at the terminus get off at Fennt Stratford, take pictures either o nthe crossing or from the canal towpath and then walk to Blethcley station (20 minutes)

hope this helps
