The point I have been trying to make all along is that
someone made a blanket statement that you can run **ANY** Windows program on Linux by installing WinE, which to say the
very least, is blatantly wrong. I posted that video, which is my own, showing that WinE can't even perform a simple GUI task such as moving the Winamp Window; what hope does it ever have of fully supporting *all* Windows apps?
*Sigh* - fanboi'ism strikes again...

I don't really see how when you move a window it looks a little strange is that big an issue personally.
A little strange?
If you actually watch the video, you will see that moving the mouse at anything faster than a sloth's rate, causes the window to jump about the screen violently. See the top part of this post for the 'point' I've been trying to make all along.

I am probably not the best person to talk to about for this sort of thing because I will always be biased toward linux and I prefer it to windows because it is more stable, faster, and it stays fast because the files do not fragment across the disk
Right; that must be the reason I've never managed more than a week's uptime on Linux, my Mac was even worse, and yet my Windows XP machine, which as it happens is a pretty duffed up install anyway, is sitting on 61 days of uptime, my Vista machine at work is on one month (would be almost three now, however I decided to reboot it purely by choice) and that I've had several months off Windows 95 before?
Faster? I don't think so buddy. Linux is slower to boot, slower to shut down, slower to run programs, slower to write and read files to disk... I could go on... You probably *think* it's faster because it's not susceptible to so many viruses like Windows is, because it doesn't have a market share worth bothering with, and that you visiting redtube.com and contracting viruses because you're technically inept suddenly becomes Microsoft's problem.
As for files not fragmenting along the disk, that's something people try and make you believe about Linux filesystems and even the Mac filesystem but there is evidence to support that these can fragment just as much as an NTFS or a FAT volume. Apple even has an article on their site telling you that a HFS+ partition WILL in time fragment, and that the only way to properly defrag it is to REFORMAT. (
but wait, Windows sucks, right?) Besides, it's irrelevant, the bottlekneck is almost never due to fragmentation but rather the drive controller, spindle speed, seek time and other factors.
Please learn something before spouting utter tripe about computers, OSes and superiority, and that applies for all of you. Don't even get me started on Linux security and why its kernel absolutely sucks.
