You're right on both points, this one took longer to think up than to post the solution!Deansgate
I think that might be a clue too far on the last line!

I'm off the network- you won't find me in England
Buried deep in London, my first two in pink
yet I don't see pink trains. Strange.
It's been a week on this one without progress, so we're unlikey to get it now.I'm off the network- you won't find me in England

Is there an emoticon for "kicks self when sees answer"?Pimlico.
Barrow Haven ?
Barrow Haven ?

You are correct!Warwick Parkway I chose because it was longer, so I thought I could fit in more castles. In reality Warwick is closer to the famous castle.
The problem with these puzzles is that sometimes you only need to do half the puzzle to get the answer. You find the word Warwick, and notice the riddle continues so it has to be Warwick Parkway.
Anyway, your floor.

Just getting Warw would probably be enough, given the number of letters (I didn't even get that far, I think I somehow missed the W at letter 4!). It's a lot more difficult to find stations where the first 7 or so letters are the same and the length is the same. Even more complicated to get same length stations with totally different names but keep people guessing right to the last letter.
Apologies to any Gaelic speakers on this board....
My first is in Harris, Rona and Raasay,
My second in Shuna, Staffa and Scalpay.
My third lies in Lunga, and Benbecula,
My fourth's in Inch Kenneth and Iona.
My fifth is in Lismore, also Oronsay,
My sixth is in Canna and Colonsay.
To end this sail on the Hebrides Sea,
My last is in Gigha and Calbha Beag.
