I'm always surprised that there aren't more direct services from Leicester to other major cities in the UK.
Given Leicester's size as the 14th largest urban area and 17th most populous city in the UK, I wonder why there arn't more direct services?
It seems that if you want to go further afield than London, Stansted or the East Midlands, then it involves a change somewhere. Im very suprised there are no through trains to the North-West or Scotland from Leicester.
