Why the need for the "^"? You're just showing your lack of maturity that way.

How does that show lack of maturity? I think your post shows lack of maturity because you both disagree, but because you want to 'win', you are then making remarks about how he posts etc which has nothing to do with it.

You, sir, have my thanks.

Yes, yes you were.

You're making a judgement based on a news article, a news article by the BBC at that, probably the worst source of journalism in the UK.

We don't know anything apart from media spin, yet your immediate reaction is to take it all as fact, and to brand him guilty and insult him.

And thus...

you were more-or-less saying that my view was illogical, I was pointing out the irony.

OK, I apologise.

I just personally feel the UK public has a knee-jerk reaction to stories like these in the media without any actual knowledge of the case.

I'm sorry for branding you as one of these people.

So, we have a 49yo male guard, married, seemingly touching up some 17yo lad. Regardless of the legalities, the guy is a guard, at work, supposedly ensuring the safety of the train... yet he is busy satisfying his personal desires. Let alone the moralities of one so mature forcing himself on one so young.

Quite frankly it is dereliction of duty as far as I can see. If I was at work and started chatting up some guy (my other half might have something to say about it for starters) then as far as my employer is concerned it is unprofessional behaviour.

This guy deserves everything he gets as far as I can see.

If, however, it is some trumped up charge then he gets my sympathy. But in either event, we only know what has been reported in the media, so really none of us, unless we witnessed the apparent incident, are not in a place to pass judgement or comment.

But real life does pass comment, and the Judge or magistrates did not witness
the incident either, a very strange happening at dawn.

BTW, a lot of wifes/partners do cover up for their partners behaviour.

Several posts have had to be deleted from this thread - it is inappropriate to post slanderous comments on what you 'reckon', and it should be remembered that the outcome of this case has already been decided in court, based on all the evidence submitted.

Could you explain how it's inappropriate? I thought it was discussion.

Can I refer you to the forum rules?
