Jaffa cakes. Seven, I think.

You must have an iron will

I've been on the Cadbury's mini rolls (orange flavour). Local Sainsbury's had them reduced to 49p for a 5 pack on Monday so I picked up the last three

I'd had scampi and chips (and a third of my wife's cod and chips) a few hours before, then most of a bag of Wine Gums on the drive back from Brighton.
And also a large chunk of Toblerone not long before the Jaffa Cakes.

I've just finished the rest of the tube...

You can keep your gourmet foods, nouvelle cuisine and celebrity chef creations, I've just dined on the one food I could not bear to do without - Birds Eye Shortcrust Chicken Pie.

A few months ago I nearly panicked as every supermarket in this area was out of stock for a while, fortunately stocks are back to normal now.

Just had my parents over for a "steak night" .I dined on an 18.5oz medium T bone steak cut by my local butcher ,served with a small helping of rocket , potato wedges and some beer battered onion rings . No desert needed

Interesting... there was a shortage around here a few months ago as well. That suggests there was a major issue that hit production doesn't it?

Indeed and now said shortage is affecting supplies of my local supermarkets own brand version of same at nearly £1.30 less for a near identical product!

They probably come off the same production line although I've never found an own brand that was as good as the original. What supermarket is that?

Sainbury's Prawn cocktail shells. In other words own brand skips. They're about as nice as said skips but are better value along with the salt and vinegar sticks

A penne, courgette and mozzarella pasta bake with peas and PSB (purple sprouting broccoli, sounds like a band name ).

I made a huge eight-sausage toad in the hole tonight.

Not all for me, of course - I only ate half of it; the rest was for the rest of the family ( two sausages worth for each of the kids and the wife didn't have anything tonight as she has a heavy cold and went up early ).

Sausages, some lovely creamy mash, and baked beans. I would have done gravy instead of the beans, but unfortunately we didn't have any powder.

The only way I'll be eating beans & crackers at Uni is if I run out of money!
(or have some rather bizarre cravings!)
