Yes, most if not all of the Kinchbus and Trentbarton fleet is able to do all Kinchbus and Trentbarton routes.

Shame that they still choose to charge you a such an expensive fare if you dare to want to travel between the companies.

If both Kinchbus and Trent buses can do each others routes does this mean that all Trent destinations are programmed into Kinchbus vehicles and vice versa?

Yes, they are. The ticket machines are able to do all Kinch and Trentbarton routes. The destination board will usually work as well.

This is due to the offer being in conjunction with Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire authorities and not Leicestershire.

The restrictions are for the £12 group fare, elsewhere in the Kinchbus universe a zigzag+ costs £21.50, which is an eye-watering price compared to Nottingham City Transport's £9 Network Grouprider and £8 for an Arriva East Midlands group ticket (covering Arriva's entire Leicestershire and Derbyshire network) during the summer holidays.

Yes, they are. The destination board will usually work as well.

Only on the vehicles with Aesys destinations (namely the ADLs & a few Volvos). Mobitec blinds only have the garage the vehicle is allocated to (I believe it’s due to storage).

Kinchbus mobitec displays have all Kinchbus routes programmed in.

It's not to do with storage on the mobitec files (they'll hold the data fine); it's more to do with the fact there's no need to have non branded destinations programmed in as buses shouldn't stray - but obviously things do happen and the Aesys displays offer the flexibility of having everything programmed in.

The newer Aesys displays are also easier to reprogramme as it's done remotely rather than someone going around with a usb stick to update.

The difference between the lower fare and the normal fare is reimbursed by the local authority with BSIP funding. So they would be better to promote it and encourage higher demand (from the lower fare), as their overall revenue would then be increased.

On the ticketer machine the standard zigzag duo & group have been removed owing to the zigzag group + being cheaper so that's the only one that can be issued

If you don't want people to have it then why would you do it? There won't be two fares, the reduced fare will be the fare.

Wright Eclipse Urbans 715 and 716 have reportedly been transferred to Kinchbus, but 716 this morning seems to have gone on a rather weird trip after running the 07:30 service 9 to Nottingham: after arriving at Broadmarsh, 716 seems to have done an anticlockwise loop of the city centre, then entered the Manvers Street depot, got driven up to the Sainsbury's off Colwick Loop Road, then gone back to the depot again, then left and is now heading south along the A60 Loughborough Road in West Bridgford as I type!

Possibly had an issue into Nottingham and Manvers Street have fixed it then took it for a dead run to make sure it's fit to return.

Both Trent Barton and Nottingham City Transport often use Colwick Loop Road to test buses, often at night. Probably the nearest/easiest way to get up to a decent speed whilst not going that far. There are also plenty of oppurtunities to turn back if anything does re occur or go wrong I guess. Sometimes you see them return via Carlton Road too.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here, but rumour has it that Solo 7 had a fire and is withdrawn as a result.
On BusTimes it was tracking in a single spot on Gotham Road between Gotham and Kingston-on-Soar for nearly twenty minutes.

Wellglade Group (trentbarton, TM Travel, Kinchbus, Notts & Derby)

Thought that given the significant overlap that it would be a good idea to have a thread for general Wellglade matters. On that matter, I've heard reports of 715 moving to Kinchbus. Given the standard of information at bustimes is sub-par, is this confirmed or just rumours?
