I have seen 906 out on the skylink a couple of times in the last week.
I did see 501 in Derby yesterday. Struck me with a fair wind, you could get to see 501, 502 and 503 all in Derby at the same time; all ex Spondon Flyer
Yeah, part of me wishes they'd moved 503 to Kinchbus instead of 498...
906 normally seems to be used on the Skylink these days.
I bet Kinchbus are glad they didn't transfer 495 to 497 instead. Some of those seem less than reliable
Think thats the one you can hear before seeing it...
Last year it was taking them something like 6 hours to get from Loughborough to Derby so it would be very difficult to plan for.

It would be right to say they are on service providing extra capacity back from Download. They are still owned and operated by Trentbarton. Makes you wonder what the point was of someone "transferring" the buses, given they only worked in an evening and today they will be on normal services.
Armchair enthusiasts will stop at nothing to get their name on the updates page of Bustimes the very second they see a vehicle doing something out of the ordinary…
All very sad. In some ways it could convey to others that less buses are on a route, meaning they don't catch the bus.
Funny that, all the vehicles moved across automatically… Kinchbus duties were used for the dupes & loading that onto ticketer would’ve automatically moved them to Kinchbus’ fleet on bustimes.
Explain your thinking to this… as soon as say ‘738’ logs into a swift trip, it’ll be re-added to Trent’s fleet list & will track correctly again.

Down another three now. 109 and 128 mmcs as well as 906 Citaro. The mmc's stopped tracking in Loughborough. The Citaro stopped tracking at East midlands Airport.
Saw 906 in Derby around 12.00 this morning.
It is back out in service now so might of ran out of fuel or had a simple to fix problem.
Or just stopped tracking for a while...

Probably a daft question, but if you don't know, you ask. If tracking on a bus fails, can the ticket machine still issue tickets.. in that the bus still knows where it is?
When I've got on Arriva and they ask me where I want to get off they move it to where the stop i'm getting off at. I would assume they can move the stop they are at on the machine if it fails to track. Plus it wouldn't really matter since the tickets are capped at £2 unless the fare should be less than that. Also the tracker is a separate part of the ticket machine, so only if they ticket machine wasn't gaining power or was damaged I would think tickets cannot be sold.
Good job really, else you could have a vision of buses running around giving free rides. Cost versus no revenue

Yeah I do as well. Not since the 8th of may though. Would of thought I would get one on Thursday since the bus was late and there was a few cancelled before it but the driver still got us to pay, massive queue of people as well. Conveniently though its at night when everyone has paid for their day tickets or capped on mango so they only loose the odd single fare.
