OK cool mate thanks for that I must admit the mmi doesn't appeal to me. So I can't really do much preparation work.and also now you've past what's next up

To be honest you don't really need to revise for part 2. The women digs deep for answers she just wants thorough and elaborate honest answers. She's looking our for buzz words like safety etc.
What's next? She didn't tell me much she said I should hear something in a few weeks regards to a interview with DB management and she said I will now be in a talent pool for the next 5 years for which states that I have passed the driver assessment and if unsuccessful at interview if any other jobs come up I 'could' be called upon

It was all computer based all 4 of us on the assessment today thought we had failed because it was a nightmare! The vigilance test is quite easy the square doesn't get dark very often so it's just a case of staying focused... the memory test is very hard the picture is only shown for half a second so just have a guess and make sure to just tick nearly everything even if you don't remember seeing it. And the 2hand test just be fast and try to be as accurate as you can. The joysticks are absolutely ****! The MMI will be done if you pass all 3 of these. Make sure on your pre MMI sheet that you put situations on there where you can elaborate about safety and concentration and achieving things. Can't really say much more everyone is different but they do tell you straight away if you have passed

Can't see it personally. They've got internal candidates to deal with first, but I'd say it's likely to be nowhere near that length of time. More like 12-18 months, if not sooner!

Mine were work related due to being in the prison service where things were there to achieve bit it could be anything you could be done the 3 peaks or won a rugby tournament. It's really personal preference

I'm saying that I'd be very surprised if those who have passed assessments were in talent pools for any length of time. There's existing vacancies for Juniors, which are currently being filled by internal applicants. Those are likely to move to mainline in the next 6 months or so, which then creates the vacancies for more Junior Drivers if you get me.

Hope you don'ty mind me asking but what is it about Freightliner that is making you want to leave?

Thanks for telling me, I just went through the application process for FL and was wondering whether it would be better to try DB cargo when they next have vacancies as I met the National standard but not FL's enhanced so
I might be better off trying another FOC.

If it's an interview as opposed to an assessment, then suit and tie for sure. If you don't have a suit then shirt/tie and trousers with a smart jacket would be OK

Without trying to sound nasty, it’s a formal interview with a international company for a very sought after role.

Do you really think anything less than a smart suit and polished shoes would be suitable ?

If you don’t have a suit, buy or hire one ! This could be your golden opportunity to land one of the most sought after roles on the railway.

People who turn up for assessments and interviews in t shirt and jeans are just showing how much of a “couldn’t give a ****” they show towards the process and should righty be binned off.

Suit. I've never turned up for a job interview in anything but a suit.

Just think if it's between you and someone else and they look the part, that's something you could have avoided!
